🤔Wondering what to do for International Dog Day? Why not let your furry friend run unleashed at the Dog Park At Rothwell Park?!

The Dog Park includes two separate sections, one for smaller and less social dogs and the other for larger and more outgoing dogs. 🐶 The amenities such as a water hydrant, picnic tables and benches make it a perfect place to have an exciting time enjoying nature while your dog romps and runs! 🐩

Today is "International Dog Day!"🐶 Let's show our four-legged friends just how much they mean to us by taking them to the Dog Park located in Rothwell Park.
It includes two separate sections where your doggy friends can run unleashed, a water hydrant for when they get thirsty, and picnic tables and benches for you to sit and enjoy nature. 🌳🌞🌷
It's sure to be a woofing good time! 🐶

Today is National Picnic Day❗️A perfect reason to gather your family and friends👨‍👩‍👦and make your way to one of our parks to celebrate!🌳Get outdoors, have a BBQ🍔🌭 walk the trails🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️play Frisbee Golf and even take your four-legged family members to the Dog Park for a run!🐕‍🦺

🍂🌳🍁 Please be mindful and protect the park. Avoid dropping cigarette butts which are litter to begin with as it could jeopardize the park and the surrounding neighborhoods. 🔥

🔥 At your homes, this is not a wise time to burn fall debris. Instead, enjoy the outdoors with family and kick the can on that fall burning a little way down the road. 🍁🌳🍂

Please be advised the County Commission has issued a "Stay At Home Order" through April 24th (unless extended/rescinded early) which applies to all areas within the county including within Moberly City limits.

Please note, we had already closed restrooms and playgrounds to get ahead of the COVID-19 issue, but the county ordinance reinforces that and will have an enforcement mechanism attached to it (up to a $1,000 fine and/or up to a 1 year sentence) for those caught by law enforcement violating the county ordinance. This will include the dog park where social distancing and touching of surfaces (gates/handles) would be required.

AS ALWAYS:
Dogs MUST be on leash at ALL times - NO EXCEPTIONS. Respect all other park users - if passing others on trails, reduce your leash distance and keep your dogs a safe distance from all passersby.

However, use of open park grounds and trails, if observing the appropriate precautions spelled out in the county order and CDC guidelines. Please take appropriate precautions so we can return to normalcy!
