We take every precaution to protect the eggs for shipment. Shipping via USPS Priority mail on Mondays or Tuesdays so eggs arrive before the weekend. The birds in the pics are in the pens eggs are gathered from -- 2 different bloodlines of 1 c**k & 3 hens in each pen. Actually have 5 pens of Black Shoulder birds. An interesting thing to know about peac**ks is that they sort of have a split season. Depending on when they were born.
It appears that peas born in March, April, mid May will more than likely start breeding & laying during those months once they mature and end their season in Early July or so.
Peas born from mid May on appear to almost mature as if they were a year older than the peas born in the early part of the same season. At least that’s what I’ve observed in our own peas. They all seem to be late season starters and go till near the end of July. Makes it hard to wait!!!
