We now carry the pet odors collection! Our candles are priced at 9.99 and sprays at 6.99! We have more fragrances on order and currently carry the beautiful fall scent of Pumpkin and Waffles and the clean mint scent Sugar Skull. The air freshener spray is a winter pine scent, perfect to start the holidays off right!

In case you have not heard, last week someone dumped a pile of Shih Tzus outside our gate. Julie, one of our staff found them wandering around in the street at the crack of dawn when she got to work. Luckily, they followed her in the gate, begging for help. Then a couple of hours later, a volunteer showed up and found another puppy outside, all alone. They were wet, covered in fleas, dirty, frightened, horribly matted and desperate for help. They needed immediate grooming and lots of medical care. We've included a link below to a Givebutter campaign to raise funds for their treatment. We have had a great response for these five but we have a lot of other dogs that need help and homes!

We recently sent 11 dogs to be fixed and half of those needed dentals! If you have ever paid for a dental you know how expensive they are. Just like you, we pay dearly for dentals, testing, x-rays, anything and everything we need to do for a pet to make sure they are healthy and happy and ready for adoption. And, we have quite a few seniors right now. Seniors come with their own list of ailments and medications. So, we are extending our Shih Tzu donation page hoping to raise money to help all of the dogs in our care and to get them adopted and into great homes right away.

And don't forget the cats!

I’ll be grooming these babies tomorrow, if you’d like to donate to help the Mobile SPCA please go through their page and do what you can. I stopped by and despite their horrible neglect they were the sweetest babies and I was met with tails wagging and just wanting all the love. Robin and her team met me with open arms and what I witnessed while there was just sickening. These babies haven’t had love in so long they’re desperate for human affection. So please help out if you can 😊

DEBBY IN THE GULF? - It’s becoming likely that Debby forms as soon as this weekend in the Gulf of Mexico. It’s possible that steering currents collapse leading to a very slow moving or even stalled storm, which means flooding is a major concern for somebody. Everyone from Louisiana and Florida must pay close attention to the forecast. Uncertainty is VERY HIGH at this time due to extremely complicated forecast variables. Nothing is set in stone and things can still change. Now is a good time to check supplies and review your hurricane plan just in case. Stay tuned.
