Animal Rescue Foundation Our rescue...your best friend. All adoptable dogs and cats placed for adoption have been socialized, evaluated and seen by a vet.

All are microchipped, up-to-date on shots, up-to-date on heartworm preventative and spayed/neutered before placement. Adoption donations are $150 for dogs and $100 for cats. ARF is a 501c3 non-profit organization.

Y’all always dazzle us. Here’s a great entry from 2022. We hope we will see the Hogwarts Express again because our theme this year is “Mythical Creatures and other Fantastic Beasts”

Alright team! Look at this cute face. This is Don and he’s at The City of Mobile Animal Services.

He is 6 weeks old and obviously does well with all animals and children. Shelters are no place for puppies to grow up so let’s get this adorable dude into a forever home!

How do your dogs like the snow?

Thelma is a blind, senior chihuahua we rescued in 2020. She was a bit confused but ended up loving it and even got the zoomies.

❄️❄️ Winter weather fosters needed at The City of Mobile Animal Services ❄️❄️

The community has been amazing at getting the shelter dogs into foster homes so far this winter! This is a forecast we really NEVER see in Mobile, so fosters are needed more than ever.

In addition to making sure all the current shelter pets are warm and toasty, our Animal Control officers need room at the shelter to respond to calls and bring in animals off the streets. On any given day the shelter may bring in 5-25 animals!

When bad weather is headed our way, Animal Control also sees a surge in reports for animals in need as concerned citizens recognize the urgency in helping a stray in their neighborhood!

We have a good problem that you can help us solve!

🎉🎉 You fostered enough dogs from The City of Mobile Animal Services that the puppy yard is empty. 🎉🎉

But, you are fostering so many pups that they’re running out of crates to send home with fosters!🙃

Let’s solve this problem. We have updated the wishlist. Crates are about $45 a piece on Amazon right now and you use the link to send one straight to the shelter. Or make a donation and we will do the shopping.

The Wiener Dog Races are one of our favorite Woofstock traditions. We hope your dachshund or other small dogs are ready for their moment! Races are included with admission to Woofstock! Plus, vendors, food trucks, great beer from our host Oyster City Brewing Company, bounce house and kids activities and our costume contest! Clear the shelter!

We are getting close to our goal of clearing the shelter! Can you foster or adopt one of our remaining pets? Our facility is aging beyond repair and we are closing the doors at the end of the year as we pivot to nee programs without a shelter facility. We need all our animals placed with adopters or fosters ASAP! We have lots of great animals who will make wonderful pets! Fosters will receive any supplies they need and ARF covers all the medical care. Foster families provide a loving home until a pet can be adopted! As ARF pivots to our new mission and life saving, community driven programs, we need your help finding homes for all our current rescues!
