The purpose of the City of Mobile Animal Services’ page is to promote adoptable animals, assist owners of lost pets by providing photos, and provide educational information on animal health. We cannot believe this pretty pup has not found a home yet! 🤯

Sky came into the care of City of Mobile Animal Services a couple months ago when she was found abandoned by her previous owner when they moved away. After spending 11 weeks at the shelter, she is beyond excited for a forever home with a new family.

She is a little over a year old and weighs 50 pounds. In addition to her sweet and loyal personality, Sky is known for her beautiful gold and blue eyes. 🌊☀

We need your help! 📢 We have LOTS of puppies who are urgently looking for foster and forever homes.

Fostering a puppy for any amount of time is incredibly valuable! By keeping them out of the shelter, foster homes keep puppies healthier and prepare them for their forever homes. Most importantly, it frees up space for additional shelter pets. This is super important as we took in almost **30** dogs yesterday. ‼

We accept walk-ins from noon until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, but we offer extended hours by appointment if you submit an adoption or foster application at www.animalservicesmobile.com 🐶

Calvin had the best doggie day out this past weekend! He had so much fun exploring downtown Mobile, playing in the park and in the sand, and even got a special puppy treat from Starbucks! Calvin is 5 years old and has been at the shelter for about a year now. He is a laid back dude, and he loves going for a stroll, sniffing the flowers and spending time with his human friends. Have you seen our Holiday Heroes programs? 🎁 Our Secret Santa program is all about taking one of our animals out for a few hours or even for a weekend adventure. 🎁 During our Holiday Adopt-a-thon, all adoption fees are waived through the end of December. 🎁 Ho Ho Ho Home for the Holidays foster program is helping animals spend Christmas in a cozy home. Pick up any animal from the shelter December 22 and bring them back January 2, or make them a permanent member of your family.

Keller came into the shelter in terrible condition. He had fallen into a ditch in a storm and was covered in wounds. Our staff quickly determined he was blind. He entered foster care with a veterinary technician, Ms. Davidson, who works with Ark Animal Clinic. She quickly realized he was the perfect fit for her family and pets. Emergency foster needed for Ernest! Ernest is a sweet, friendly boy that is about 3 years old. On Monday, he is having surgery to repair a dislocated hip and pelvic fracture. After his surgery, Ernest will need a foster home to recover in over the next several weeks. Since he is so young, this surgery will help him get back to being a healthy, happy dog with a long life ahead of him. Fostering saves lives and gives shelter pets like Ernest the chance to get the medical care they need and to recover in a home while they await adoption.
