DOGS HATE FIREWORKS
keep them indoors, roll down shades, close curtains, turn on all outside AND inside lights. Play music AND have TV on.
Keep pets away from people partying in the house - stressed dogs are, well, stressed. And your family idiot will leave doors and gates open - we all have a family idiot - please don't let your idiot manage to lose or kill your dog(s).
Keep your puppers on leash or longline if they're even remotely bouncy or jumpy - even 3-legged dogs can jump a 6' fence with ease if terrified enough. Make sure your dog(s) wear ID.
And, if you have a Veteran in your neighborhood, be kind and don't have fireworks on your property - PTSD is real.
meanwhile, here at Sunpaws we're prepping for fireworks... thundershirts, Woofs & treats, stuffable rubber toys, peanut butter, Benadryl, Sileo, alprazolam, Trazodone, chamomile & lavender oils, melatonin, dog-calming music, Pachelbel, DAP, lickimats, slowfeeders are are going to be prepared wednesday, in plenty of time for crashboombangs...
Best noises to help mask sounds are brown noise, tennis balls in the dryer and oscillating fans.
make a tag from painters tape if they don’t have a tag with your info!
ACEPROMAZINE "ace" is CONTRAINDICATED for noise fears!!!
it sedates the dog, however it increases sound sensitivity! it's a "chemical straight jacket"
