We, White Gates Farm Equine Rescue, are registered with the state of Alabama as a domestic nonprofit organization and with the IRS as a 501c3 Corporation making your donation, charitable and a tax deduction. Blessed with the land my grandparents blood, sweat and tears went in, we work closely with our local shelters and neighboring Rescue’s, trying to save as many horses and farm animals as possi
ble. While we have the space to shelter a few, we can not continue to feed them without your help. Horses arrive here abandoned, abused, emaciated, neglected hooves, hurt and very scared. Our main goal, here at White Gates Farm, is to show them love, feed, care and compassion during their stay on our farm while finding them all permanent and forever homes. Your donations are what make it possible to buy hay/feed, rehabilitate, transport and vet/farrier bills.

This sweet beauty is a Mustang/Appaloosa cross. She is UTD on shots, just had a dental float and has a neg coggins. She was vet aged at 25 yrs old, 14 H, and is the thinnest of the herd. She required a lot of dental work and is now getting her feed soaked so she is having no problem putting down the groceries!! Her rain rot has been treated and she absolutely loves all the attention. She will clearly need a lot of rehab but if you would like to meet Bonnie, or donate to help, let us know🥰
This Qtr Paint gelding is UTD on shots, just had his sheath cleaned, a dental float and has a neg coggins. He was vet aged at 13 yrs old, 15 H, and loves his herd but doesn’t fight to get to the top, waits patiently for his turn. Earl has been ridden in the past but will need ground work and desensitization. He seems very willing to please, is looking for a forever home and a new start! If you would like to meet Earl, please let us know!!!
This handsome red roan is UTD on shots, just had a dental float, sheath cleaned and has a neg coggins. He was vet aged at 20 yrs old, 14 H, and is first in the barn to eat! Jandis decided to hang out in the farm truck… so she got to help me drag the pastures 🤠🐓
Excited for a break in the heat this morning to enjoy a little ride around the neighborhood on Bear 🤠🐎🥰 with Cheyenne Owens Farley and Edgar!
We had a wonderful couple reach out to help them place 4 horses that have been a part of their family a very long time. Huge thanks to Cheyenne Owens Farley and Victoria Alexis Reid for helping me load and haul this morning. We will get them evaluated and make them individual albums soon and will be very particular about their adoptions, but for now they are enjoying their new pasture.
These beautiful young ladies found our little farm just googling as they are traveling from Minnesota. They stopped by to pet and groom on some horses and make a donation to the rescues. We hope to stay in touch and pray they have safe travels back to Minnesota 🙏🥰🤠
This sweet girl was surrendered last month and is looking for a forever home. She has gained a little weight, easy to catch in the pasture but will need lots of ground work and confidence building so please message us if you’d like to meet Velvet!
We were one of the businesses chosen for the 2024 Y.E.S. Program with the City of Mobile. The “Youth Empowered for Success” program is designed for high school and college students interested in gaining valuable workforce experience in the Mobile area. Jordan and Taleah worked 2 full months and Amber was able to participate a short time as well. These girls came here with no experience handling horses or any of the other farm animals, but they gave it 100%. They helped with all the farm chores, feeding, mucking, spreading shavings, cleaning feed buckets, water troughs and refilling them, they helped at Camp Grace to walk the horses, bathed horses, picked up sticks, rocks, debris, and countless other chores here on the farm in the heat, humidity and rain. I know they left empowered and encouraged and even got to ride a horse! They start college in August and will begin an entire new journey but I pray they continue to keep God first and stay focused on their career goal. Good luck girls.
Tonka’s family sent in an update. He has been accepted by the herd, not top, but accepted 🤠. The family loves him.
We got this update from sweet Sarah’s family giving a pony ride. We love it!!
Christ United Student Ministry came out in the heat of June for a service project and SERVE they did!!! They helped with grooming, feeding, picking up rocks from paddocks, mucking stalls and they truly blessed our little farm! These kids did an amazing job and we hated to see them go! Thanks again guys.
I am way behind on posting this summer so I will start with camp!
Our rescues were happy to be a part of the team at Camp Grace again this year. So proud of Bear, Rosie, Mowgli….and we even gave Lt. Dan, of The Mobile County Sheriff’s Posse, a summer job. 🤠 A huge shout out to all the of the volunteers that helped out at camp this year! Here are just a few pics of some of the fun! But to see all them, check out TRIP’s entire page…she’s doing great things!!! I’m also very happy Rosie and Mowgli stood for some painted pony time, which is always fun!
We are so happy to announce “Tonka” has been hauled to his new forever home! Huge thanks to Katlyn Moiren for taking him in and giving him another chance. He still has a long way to go to overcome his trauma but he walked right in to the horse trailer and seemed extremely happy to meet his new pasture mates and roll in his new grass!
This guy is feeling much better since his collision with the truck and deserves his own album! Huge thanks to Cheyenne Owens Farley for helping remove his drain and sutures. He is moving around his paddock much better. His “stray hold” is up and should be available for adoption soon.
Kuzco had a lot of obstacles to overcome the past 6 months and still needs a little weight but feeling a lot better. He came in on a cold, wet, dark November night but left on a beautiful, warm, sunny May morning. Grateful for Dominion Farm Animal Sanctuary for giving him a forever home💗 He was walking proud to the trailer this morning and was happy to meet his new pasture mates.
🐎💗
It’s been six years today since I had the back surgery that left me paralyzed and the doctors said I would never walk again. I came home to a hospital bed and a wheelchair with my husband, Justin Gates Sr, having to do everything for me… But God!🙌
When a friend ask if you could use a couple bags of carrots on the farm😍Huge thanks to Yashica Broughton Mack and Healing Hearts for sharing with TRIP and the FARM🥰🤠🐎

Surgery was a success and Kuzco was able to come home this evening. He was such a good boy loading and unloading. He still needs to put on 100lbs or so but he’s doing great!
A little afternoon turnout for some of the ponies🥰🐎🤠 #whitegatesfarmequinerescue #farmlife #thebestlife #ilovewhatido
