Hey everyone, We have made the decision to move our May Show scheduled for the 18th to Sunday the 19th. It is calling for a 100 % chance of rain on Saturday as well as rain on Friday. We feel that it would be in the best interest to move the show to Sunday the 19th as the weather looks much better for that date. This will also allow us to make any ground work repairs after the heavy rain that is predicted to come our way. We understand that this new date may not work for everyone and if you are not able to make it please let me know and I will refund you if you have already paid and take you off the schedule. If you are still able to show with us that is great and we look forward to it. If you were not originally signed up and the new date works for you, please enter by midnight tonight. Our Judge is able to move to the 19th so we will have the same judge Joni Abney "R" for the day. Thank you for your understanding.

Looking forward to a great show day tomorrow. This show will be the start of our show series which will run for our 3 shows in 2024 with the series finally in October where prizes and ribbons will be given to those who have signed up for the series. More information on the show series is on the registration form.

It was a busy end to September with a schooling dressage show at Amen Corner Farm Sept 23-24. Maggie and Breeze got better scores with every test and are becoming a great pair to watch together. Belle and Squiggles competed at first level for the first time together and had a good score with some nice moments and looking forward to more test at that level :) Hayden and Felix had two good test with some very nice moments and they powered through a downpour in their second test and didn’t miss a beat! It was a fun and relaxing time :) The next weekend Sept 30-Oct 1 we headed to lagniappe for the Fleur de Leap recognized show. Sadly Grace came down sick the day before the show so I took over the ride on Ghost. It was fun to ride him around the beginner novice and felt great to be back out showing. We threw down a 28 in dressage and he put up with a few of my mistakes in the show jumping to finish in 1st. Addison and Pongo had a lovely dressage test and conquered the xc to finish in 3rd and Vivie and Wyatt had a lovely stadium round and a had sown really nice moments in dressage and will be back to conquered the xc next time:) Baby Christian always has fun tagging along, I am thankful for a great group of riders and parents who alway help out! We all missed having Grace there at lagniappe but glad she is back to feeling better! We are looking forward to a nice cooler October and our clinic with Hilda Donahue at the end of the month. Oct 28-29. 🎃🐴👻

This past weekend we had a group of riders compete at the Chatt schooling show, each horse and rider had a few high points and some things to improve on for next time. We also had baby Christian there to cheer everyone on! It was a fun time with great people! We look forward to improving and can’t wait for the next show 🐎

The Final Results from our October and March show are now posted on our website www.sandstoneequestriancenter.com. Our May 20th show is coming up soon and it is the finally in our Eventing series. If you still want to sign up for the series there is still time. Cost is $40 for the series and you must sign up by Friday April 28th. I have attached a picture with more info about the series. You don’t have to have done all 3 shows to participate and you don’t have to have done the same level at all 3 shows. There will be places up to 8th place as well as prizes in each of the 3 categories Horse Trials, Combined Test and Straight Dressage. I have also attached a list of those already signed up. I will have to updated series standings posted by the end of the week.

We had a great time hosting the lovely Hilda Donahue for a clinic this past weekend. Great rides were had by all and everyone learned something to keep working on. We are looking forward to our March Horse Trials coming up this weekend, if you haven’t gotten your entry in yet make sure to have it in by the end of the day! Looking forward to another fun show weekend.

At the beginning of February we went to the Chatt Hills Schooling show and had a great time despite the freezing rain and cold weather! We were lucky to host a clinic with Hilda Donahue at the end of February with two full days of riding and learning. This past weekend we had a big group head to Lagniappe for a two day show with some good results from all. Staying busy between the shows as well welcoming a two new horses to the barn and the everyday lessons in between. Now we are looking forward to our show at Sandstone coming up this weekend, it looks like the weather is going to be beautiful for the weekend after the rain comes through earlier this week. Feeling blessed to be staying busy with so many amazing horses and people!

It was a busy month of January with shows at Majestic Oaks and Rocking Horse as well as dressage lesson with Anne and having a rider at the C 6 clinic in Ocala.
