The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is considering a new rule that would BAN the interstate movement of axolotls. If it passes, Alabama would ban the POSSESSION and SALE of Axolotls.

This means, it would be ILLEGAL for us to sell axolotls and ILLEGAL for you to keep them as pets!

The rule aims to control the spread of a fungus called Batrachochytrium salamandrivorans (Bsal). However - there is NO EVIDENCE that Bsal is present in ANY species in the U.S. and evidence suggests that axolotls may not carry Bsal and do not pose a substantial risk of transmitting the fungus.
