Please meet Lillie and Tuffy. They are not biological siblings, but they enjoy each other's company. Lillie is a medium hair and Tuffy is a Siamese mix called a Tabby Point. Her points, also known as ears and tail, have tabby stripes. They are both available for adoption here at the shelter. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Friday 9am to 3pm.
Please meet Mai Tai. She is a very sweet, one year old female. A bad case of fleas when she came in is responsible for her bad haircut. They have been treated, and her coat will be back to looking it's best very soon. Mai Tai is available for adoption. We are open Tuesday through Friday 9am to 3pm.

Update: Rescued
Cairo wanted to show off his kitten(don't you dare call it a dog) paddle. He is ready for the pool, the beach, wherever you want to go. He is a 13 week old tabby and white male, and just the sweetest boy.
Cairo is available at the Davie County Animal Shelter, 291 Eaton Rd., Mocksville. Cat adoption fee is $80 (cash only, exact change please) which includes a voucher for the mandatory neuter.

Sponge is here, waiting patiently for his forever family. He is a shepherd mix with a striking coat color. He is very loving towards staff. He walks well on a leash, and is very interested in chasing squirrels. He is thin at 49 pounds. Sponge can be a picky eater. We are always trying new ideas to get him to eat. Please meet Kat, an estimated one year old Snowshoe cat. If you know the breed, you know what an opportunity this is. Kat wants to sniff out new people, then he is very loving and sweet. We don't recommend he go to a home with young children, they may not give him the time he needs to get comfortable. Kat is available for adoption Tuesday through Friday 9am to 3pm.

Update 2: Istral has been rescued.
Update: Juniper has been adopted.
Can I brag a little about this cat, please? Istral came into the shelter with 5 kittens, one day old. She did a great job with her babies and they all found homes. Just as she was about to go onto the adoption floor we took in a tiny kitten without a mother who was too young to eat solid food. We took a chance and Istral accepted this tiny baby. Then another newborn, and another. Istral has fed, washed and cared for these babies like her own. As you can see, she is basically a kitten herself. Little Juniper, her mini-me is ready to be adopted. Please visit the shelter Tuesday through Friday, 9 am to 3 pm if you would like to meet any of these adorables.
