Our November meeting will be held this THURSDAY (11/7) at the Davie County Library. We will not meet on our normal Tuesday due to elections.

Joe Komperda will give us an education on honey bee anatomy. All are welcome.

Joe’s discussion will be from 7-8pm, but please try to arrive at 6:30pm if you are a member as we will have some club business to discuss including our own elections.

Our speaker this month will be Bryan Fisher and he will be talking about Feeding and Prepping Colonies for Winter.

Please join the Davie County Beekeepers for our June meeting this Tuesday (June 4) at the Davie County Library in downtown Mocksville. 7 pm to 8 pm.

The speaker is Russell Tyson and his talk will be on Queen Rearing. It a should be a very interesting topic.

If you are not a member, but are interested in beekeeping, please join us.

We just wanted to remind everyone of our Monthly Bee Meeting on Tuesday, March 5th. The meeting location will be at Mocksville First United Methodist Church. For those that are unfamiliar with where the church is, it's a block west of the library, and the meeting is in the meeting hall BEHIND the church.

We managed to book the library for April's meeting and will try and reserve for May meeting as well.

March’s guest speaker is Rob Lelewski, "Learning about beekeeping by leveraging a computerized beehive".

All, gentle reminder that the February Bee meeting will be held Tuesday, 2/6 at the METHODIST CHURCH and not the Mocksville Library. The church is located one block west of the library in the community building just behind the church. First United Methodist Church, 310 N Main St. The meeting will start at 7:00 and go to 8:30.

(March’s meeting will be at the Methodist church as well).

The speaker this month is Russell Tyson and his topic is "Principles of Making Queens, Cell Building Methods and Distribution and Equipment Used". He will talk from approximately 7:00 to 8:00 and then we will have a session of Q&A for new beekeepers and a reminder of what to expect and prepare for in February.

Members: We will be having a Pot-Luck Dinner at December's meeting.
Please note that we will be having our meeting at the Davie County Library from 7-8 pm, but it will be on WEDNESDAY, Dec 6th. It will NOT be on Tuesday.

Please consider bringing a dish and please email to let me know what you plan to bring.

Will will also do a "Dirty Santa" gift exchange again. So please consider bringing an inexpensive wrapped gift to exchange with others that bring gifts.

There is no guest speaker this month, but I'm sure plenty of discussions about bees will take place.

The November Davie County Beekeepers Meeting is this Tuesday (November 7th) from 7-8pm.
All are welcome.

PLEASE NOTE.......We WILL NOT be holding this meeting at the Library (our normal meeting location).
The library room is being used by the government for elections.

We will be holding our meeting at the Fellowship Hall behind the Mocksville First United Methodist Church, just a few doors down from the Library.

In our meeting this Tuesday, we are going to have a general Q&A along with honey tasting. We will have several honeys from around North America, and we can all taste them "blind" to see if we can determine each honey source......it should be quite fun.
