Our little chicks had so much fun learning about chickens and how long it takes for eggs to hatch. Only one day left to sign up for next Thursday's Farm School. The lessons' theme will blow your way tomorrow. Thanks again to Ms. Sam and all the local families that joined us. We had a blast!

We have been working hard since summer of 2023 to restore and preserve our historic centennial barn. This is just the beginning. Expect more to come before Fall 2024! Farm School is in full swing for Adults on Tuesdays with breakfast & Kids on Thursdays. We will be open to everyone every Thursday night starting May 23rd, come check out the barn, have a signature cocktail, and let the kids stay and play. Visit our website to learn more.

Tuesday, May 7th starts at @10:55am. We will be doing our first guided orchard driving tour through the blossoms. $5/person

The first 30 minutes will be a guided orchard tour, which includes a friendly team member giving you a behind-the-scenes tour of what the farmers have been up to. After the driving portion, guests can enter the barn for a beverage or snack at an additional cost.

We were inspired by the Kentucky Derby, which is tomorrow, May 4th, this year. Our Mudder Bloody Derby is made with local bourbon, local pickles, and Local bloody mary mix.

What's a mudder, you ask? It's a horse that races well on muddy tracks! Mud or shine, we will have these ready for you to enjoy this weekend and next weekend for our Apple Blossom Festival.

Cutting some fresh apple blossom branches to put in the newly renovated barn for Spring Apple Blossom Festival @ Hurds Family Farm kick off tomorrow. In bloom we have Ida Red, Jonomac, Ginger Gold and my current favorite Pink Ladies! I wish I could post the sweet smell. Eat, drink, take pictures, relax, play, drive your car through, golf cart tours. See you Saturday and Sunday :)

BEE excited for next weeks Farm School lesson on Bees & Pollinating BEEcause we definitely are! Each age group will be having unique hands on learning experiences and both will take a trip out to the orchard to check out our hives. Every student will get passes to come back and play at the Apple Blossom Festival on Saturday or Sunday. There is still space available in the April 25th classes.
