Miss Kitty is receiving acupuncture as part of her treatment for chronic kidney disease. Since starting acupuncture she generally has improved and has started grooming herself and jumping up onto the bed.

Cute comic, but be aware trees are grown with pesticides and other chemicals that can harm our pets. These chemicals can be toxic to dogs and cats and cause GI irritations, so don’t let them drink the Christmas Tree water.

Acupuncture has been well received, and some owners are noticing significant improvement. 16 year old Honey is in for her third treatment, and Mom says”Honey is now jumping and playing without pain. This has been a miracle treatment for her!”

So pleased to welcome Dr Ashley Caron-Brummel to Village Oak. Born and raised in Oakdale, she is excited to come home and get to work. She will be practicing small animal medicine as well as acupuncture!

Weather like this is far to warm to have a coat this severely matted. When the fur becomes this dense it is no longer possible to comb it out. Often these are dogs that do not want to be combed and the only way to remove this coat is a sedation/clip down.

Apparently word still hasn’t gotten out! Lost another French Bulldog to the heat. These dogs cannot breathe in this weather and will begin to overheat in 5 minutes. Please make sure flat faced dog owners know to protect their pets.

We stopped to pick up a deceased dog on Oakdale Rd, close to Sylvan. We are holding the remains if someone wants to claim her. She was wearing this collar, no tags or chip.
