Buck needs a new home. He is in the Modesto area. 1 yr old neutered male. Pyrenees/ German Shepherd mix. Lovely dog with many people but not comfortable with a few people who are on his rural property. Owner is heartbroken but knows it is best for all if Buck finds a new home. Experienced owner with quiet home or set up for good management when needed. I met Buck a few months ago and found him to be a sweet boy, friendly to me. In my experience the Pyr/ GSD mix results in a dog who does best with lots of structure and guidance. Like a GSD needs structure, but the independence of the Pyr adds an extra challenge.

Christmas carnage. My tree toppled over tonight. Cats may have been involved. The tree isn’t as sturdy as it should be. Ornaments are all glass and crystal. It was worrisome, the tree was bendy. Broken glass included some favorite glass ornaments: corgi, spaniel, calico cat. Statue of Liberty, McHenry Mansion… The box shows the stuff that didn’t break. Including the glass Pyr. Redecorating tomorrow. And I have tied the tree to a window handle with twine.

Landscaping reno has resumed. After a few days of potty walks out front I thought I’d let them outside to 4 wheel it. 😱 Back to those on-leash walks. I can get to grass by going out front door. Up the driveway. Thru carport. And thru a gate to the north side which is undisturbed.
