kits are specially made bags with filter patches that allow gas echange but prevent any possibility of cross contamination. As the Mycelium grows through the substrate carbon dioxide is exhaled through the filter into a growing room where plants benefit from the off gas. Mycelium breathes in oxygen and can liberate 50% or more of the available weight of carbon into carbion dioxide. One bag placed above four plants should off gas around 1500 ppm for up to two months.
