It’s National Fetch Day! Show us your dogs and cats who love to play fetch!

Happy National Fetch Day! Yes, cats do play fetch—but only on their terms. Play, including fetch, is an important way to hone your cat’s instincts. Allow your cat to capture the ‘prey’ at the end of a hunt-and-play session to satisfy this natural hunting instinct. Learn more at https://bit.ly/3DaipRg.

It’s National Veterinary Technician Week !

October 13-19, 2024, has been set aside as National Veterinary Technician Week (NVTW) to celebrate, recognize, and promote the valuable contributions Credentialed Veterinary Technicians make to the veterinary profession and society.

Veterinary Technicians are integral players on the veterinary healthcare team. They are on the front lines, compassionately working with clients whose beloved animals need care. They work tirelessly in exam rooms, labs, and operating rooms, using their vast technical and scientific knowledge to treat and care for every animal species. Their broad professional and personal skills allow veterinarians to work more efficiently and effectively. And they do it all with love and a smile daily.

Thank you for all you do ! Let’s help celebrate them!

A Good Samaritan brought him in and we scanned and found his owners information! ❤️
He had been missing for a year! 😳

This is why we encourage microchipping! 🐕 🐈

Always make sure to keep your microchip information up to date because you never know when you may get that call that your baby has been found! 💕

The heat has not left us yet!
This week is not in the triple digits but we can still feel the heat!
Here’s some tips to help keep your pets cool.

Provide shade
Make sure your pet has access to shade throughout the day. This can help prevent heatstroke.

Provide water
Keep water bowls full of fresh, cool water. Pets lose hydration when they pant, so make sure they have enough to drink.

Use cooling mats, a misting hose and kiddy pools.
Cooling mats can be placed on the floor, in a crate, or on your pet's bed. They contain a gel that helps reduce your pet's temperature. A misting hose can create a cool area for your pet to be in while outside.
A kiddie pool can be a great place for your dog to splash and relax in.

Exercise in the cool
Try to exercise your pet in the cool of the morning or at dusk, rather than during the heat of the day.

Protect their paws
Protect your pet's paws by putting on sandals or shoes when they go outside.

Avoid leaving them outside
Don't leave your pet unattended outside when it's hot. You can also leave them at home when you're running errands.

Stay cool friends 😊
