Storing eggs.. The hen leaves a protective coating when she lays the egg so ok to be on counter for 2 weeks UNWASHED. Once you wash off that protective coat, they need to be refrigerated. We wash our eggs.

All 7 chicks made it through the night thankfully
In the 3 years we have been incubating and moving chicks to coops we never lost one. I guess it might have had a week heart or some other problem. Poor little chick.
