Illinois residents: Legislative Alert! SB1751 will be heard in Committee next week.

This bill proposes to reverse Illinois' humane pet store law that is scheduled to take effect next month, and would once again allow pet stores to sell animals sourced from commercial breeders.

The bill will also prohibit animal shelters and animal control facilities from doing background checks on potential pet adopters.
