Farriers Association of Washington State 2025 Triple Crown is coming!
The Spring contest will be in Chehalis, WA March 14,15,16. Chris Madrid will be the judge. Registration will be on farriersofwa.com but has not been posted yet.
The contest will be held at:
Triple H Arena.
639 Penning Rd.
Chehalis, WA 98532
We did not block a motel because the rooms were not used last year.
There are a few motels in town to pick from.

Our judge:
Chris Madrid is from Stanley, New Mexico, where he is owner of Madrid Horseshoeing Inc. and Madrid Forge LLC. Chris began shoeing while attending Mesalands Community College Farrier Program in Tucumcari, New Mexico from 2003-2005. Chris then apprenticed with three different farriers while starting his own business and continues to work with them. Chris began competing in 2005. He has been on the World Championship Blacksmiths Horseshoeing Team 8 times. Chris has many achievements and accolades including but not limited to:
qualifying in the top 10 at Calgary twice, winning National Champion 2012, 2015, 2017, 2020, and 2021 with the WCB and 2015 at the AFA convention. Chris has been a part of 2 winning teams at the World Horseshoeing Classic in 2012 and 2017. He enjoys blacksmithing, hunting, and competing in horseshoeing contests. Some of Chris's major influences/mentors in the farrier industry are Craig Trnka, Jim Keith, and Jim Poor. He plans to continue running his Horseshoeing/Blacksmith business as well as competing in Horseshoeing competitions.

We will post more information as we get it.

Don't forget to plan to bring something for the auction Saturday night.
