Sir Frosty is in the free roaming room and strutting his handsome self all over the place. He can be a little skittish when the room gets loud but overall does pretty well. He is 3.5 years old.

Spinach Dip is such a lovely gal. She seems social and comes right to the front of her kennel door for love. She came in as a stray so we are still learning about her. She is 2 years old.

Izzy Mae is friendly and loves the camera 📸🤭. As her white and black hairs move in the wind she manages to smile with a purpose. She is trying to lure her adopter in and get her a cozy home. She is 4 years old.

Did you make a New Year’s resolution to give back to the community or maybe even get more steps in each day?? Volunteering at the shelter is a rewarding way to stick to your goals! ♥️

The dogs especially are dependent on volunteers for exercise and interaction. With 70-100 dogs to feed, clean, medicate, etc., the staff simply do not have the time to get every dog a break from their kennel or take a walk daily. Please consider joining our team of volunteers by attending our next orientation (mandatory prior to volunteering)!

Meet FORD!! He has the most stunning blue eyes but he’s bashful about having his picture taken!😉

FORD is a catahoula mix under 2 years old. He came to us as a stray so we are learning his likes and dislikes.

Ford is very scared at the shelter so he puts on his “tough guy” act in his kennel. Once outside he wants to snuggle and be pet. I think Ford would do well with another dog pending a meet & greet.

I met Shawnee a couple of weeks ago and he was extremely friendly in his kennel. Last Saturday I let him out and boy he amped up his personality. He followed me, didn't really get under the kennels, if he did, he didn't stay there long. He let other guests pet him and was super social. He is almost 2 years old and darn near perfect. I think he could easily do well with another cat if he was introduced slowwwly. We are closed today but will open tomorrow 12-5 pm. - Julie
