*CLEARING UP SOME CONFUSION ON CLOSING*
We posted previously about 2025 being our last year. I’ve gotten a ton of messages and questions asking about leftover stock or “Oh, I thought you were done?” Or similar things of that nature.

🚨 2025 IS BUSINESS AS USUAL🚨
We will be at the Freight House Farmers' Market on Saturdays AND Sundays this year.
We’re schedule to be at Made Market QC: a handmade + vintage market events
We will be signing up for our annual fall and Christmas shows we do.
We are still releasing new patterns, we’ll restock popular prints when we can.
We will NOT be ordering or restocking any toys or treats *other than our Yak chews - we will stock those until we’re done*

We’ve been dealing with a leaking roof and insurance the last couple weeks so we’ve been quite but we’re still working in the background

Currently shopping around for some spring fabrics.

What type of prints are you interested in this year? We’ll be working through restocking things we have, but also want to add some new to spice things up!

I gotten behind on orders. Tonight, I was able to package and print all labels for all orders, so if you’ve been waiting they will be mailed out tomorrow.

I will be pausing the website until I can get inventory done and can get caught up on new releases and getting the trailer ready for market.

A tough blow. We don’t only use Joann’s, but they were a great budget friendly place to shop to help keep our costs though!
The other fabrics we buy are $20 per yard + shipping so being able to mix and match with cheaper fabrics helped us keep our prices reasonably low.

Prices will not change for the 2025 season, but just shedding light on how drastically things can change for a business and why prices may fluctuate.

Fabrics outlet Joann will shutter all of its approximately 800 locations after failing to find a buyer who would keep its stores open.

In a statement, the company said it would commence nationwide going-out-of-business sales as a stipulation of the group that won its assets at auction.

Joann was founded as the Cleveland Fabric Shop by German immigrants during World War II. At one point, it was the largest fabrics retailer in the U.S.

After some tough conversations with my family and friends, I have decided that our 2025 season will likely be our last season indefinitely.

I’m not sure if I’ll just be taking a step back or if it will be the end of it all. But, I’m exhausted and I have to change something. For 8 years now I’ve worked my full time job and made over 8,500 bandanas (that’s just what’s sold that’s not including inventory, giveaways, etc.) But, the last 3 years, I’ve become a mom. I welcomed the two greatest blessings into my world and I will never get this time back with them.

I work 50-60 hours a week on top of caring for my children and spending time with my husband. I don’t want my kids to remember me constantly burnt out or working on my computer or not home on weekends because I was “too busy”. I have loved every moment I’ve gotten to do this business, but the last year or so I’ve been overwhelmed and I’ve felt guilty for not being able to give everything and everyone 100% effort.

It’s not good bye yet! We are still scheduled for the Freight House Farmer’s Market all spring, summer, and fall and we also will be at Made Markets and hoping for the Geneseo State Street market again.
But, if you see me this year please share your stories, your photos, and kind words. This is not an easy decision and make me incredibly sad to walk away from something I single handedly built from the ground up.

Looking for Saturday & Sunday help at the Freight House Farmer’s Market. Could range from 1x a month to every weekend if you wanted.

Must be able to set up a pop up tent and foldable tables on your own.

Pay ranges between $75 - $100 for the day.

It’s getting to be that time!
We’ve started getting all our emails about upcoming markets and sign up dates, etc. and we’re so excited to begin the 2025 season. With that being said, I’m looking for weekend help - with two kiddos and working a full time job already in order to keep this business going I need the help on weekends so I can still spend time with my kids and family.
Please check out the details below and tag someone you think might be a great fit! This would be great for a senior in high school, a college student home on break, or for someone looking for just a little extra income!

🐾 REQUIREMENTS 🐾
- Customer Service / Sales Experience
- Must be able to set up a vendor display on your own. *This includes pop-up tent (approximately 50lbs), tables and table clothes, and hanging bandanas.
- Knowledgable about dog breeds and sizing.
- RELIABLE ‼️‼️

🐾 PREFERRED🐾
- Has a vehicle that a small trailer could hook to so you can transport the display set up. (Trailer is small 4x6 trailer) - but basic set up can typically fit in an SUV🐶
- Pay: $75 - $100 depending on set up arrangements
*we will pay a friend if they help you set up, we will come help set up if needed, and if you can do it all you get the full $100)
- Most weekends we will be at the Freight House Farmers' Market so the hours we have for that are Saturdays 6:30am - 1:30pm (7 hours)
Sundays would be 8am - 2:00pm (7 hours)
We do have a few bigger shows throughout the year that we could discuss later

Today Valentine’s Day release is likely going to be postponed. I don’t have an exact time or date but will just post as soon as they’re ready.

Unfortunately this week I’ve had 2 sick kids and a sick husband so I haven’t been in my office to get these done.

Oakie’s Designs

Oakie is what Oakie’s Designs is all about.

Oakie is a 2 year old Rottweiler who loves anybody and everything. He has an infectious smile and a d***y personality (in a very endearing way). Unfortunately because of Oakie’s size when we were out on walks people would get scared and shy away from him so I wanted to get him something that would match his loving personality. Nowhere I looked had exactly what I was looking for so I decided to create something unique and personal. It was around Christmas time and I wasn't sure what design I wanted so I bought a few different fabrics to work with. I worked on a few different patterns and realized that I loved how they looked on him. So, being the social media butterfly that I am I posted pictures of all the new accessories Oakie had to choose from. My notifications then began to blow up. Friends, Family, and Strangers were all contacting me asking me if I was selling the items. Quickly I realized this was going to be a popular item. I talked to my family about a possible small business idea, being a full time college student while working a full-time 8:30 - 5 doesn’t exactly leave “time” for that sort of thing. But, we decided that my love of animals and the joy it brought me would help me find the determination to create a business that I loved. So here we are now. I hope you enjoy being apart of out family and I can’t wait to see all the pictures of big and small pets that choose us for their pet accessories. I am grateful for each and every person who just looks at our page because without all of you this wouldn’t be able to happen .
