The Leaning Post Ranch has been assisting our community since 2001 with our gentle, intelligent animals providing Equine Therapy.

Our facility adheres to PATH standards for safety and high quality service. LPR is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization The dream of the LPR began in 1992 with one gang member and one horse. After several successes, the efficacy of the horse as a therapy tool took firm root in the Gersin's minds. As a riding instructor, Fran saw the effectiveness of equine therapy in the lives of children with ph

ysical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. The outreach of the Ranch program expanded to include children with varying disabilities and their families. Horseback riding develops self-awareness, builds self-confidence, improves concentration and increases self-discipline. Riding also strengthens and relaxes muscles, improves posture, balance and coordination, and increases joint mobility.

Jessie
The horse pictured left is the horse that Kickstarted this program. Fran Gersin utilized her personal horse that has such a great and gentle demeanor to begin this program. Since then the program has grown so much into what it has become today. Jessie is now 35 years old and just enjoying her retirement with unlimited grass and feed. Jessie's daughter pictured right. Jill has always been by her side since she was born, she has picked up Jessie's soft attitude which makes her a perfect fit for the ranch.

that's a wrap for today!

in pensacola today we were giving horseback rides to all ages!

from 11-2 we gave 77 horse rides

our horses (and unicorn) were Jill, Katie, and Cotton Candy *part time unicorn*

The Leaning Post Ranch does horseback lessons weekly at the Ranch located in Molino Fl

The ranch is able to specialize in challenged and at risk riders as well as our veterans

A little storm doesn't stop the ranch activity's! in fact it just goes into OVERDRIVE!

Praying for the Leaning Post Faimly to stay safe during this storm.

The horses always know when a storm is coming, so they are just a little spunky to get all their energy out before they bunker down till it's over.
