It's sad that our Largest tree on Butterprint Farm is no longer with us. This huge majestic tree which rose up above 60 feet providing fragrant flowers in the spring and cool shade in the summer had to come down due to its hollow core. The tree threatened to crush a portion of one of our barns if high winds took it down. Fortunately, it has spread its seeds far and wide and now have many more Catalpas to take its place...:-)

Hello all you farm loving pumpkin pickers. We have enjoyed the many years of growing pumpkins, leading farm tours, the bluegrass music and fiddlers competitions, but since Covid took over, we have found it hard to stay open. We decided to remain closed and we hope another farm or two will take over the reins and teach nature education and farm preservation as we have enjoyed for the past 30 years. Have a wonderful Fall season everyone!

It seems that our Butterprintfarm.com website has been down for a while. You can still catch up to what's happening down on the farm thru Facebook. We decided to no long grow pumpkins commercially but will continue farming other crops. In addition,, We will be adding more information on our farms extensive history.

Well, here we are in 2024. This year, we are beginning restoration on our big barn. The 3 sills have rotted over many years and we will be replacing them, fixing the sides and repainting. We also intend on posting many of the farms historical pictures and stories.
