Announcement for all our clients, the doctor will be out of the office this Thursday 12/19/24. We will be open 8am to 12pm to answer phones and for medication pick ups. Please make sure you have your prescriptions called in by Wednesday!

We will be back in the office Friday at 7:30am. If you have an emergency, we are referring to Premier Vet Group in Orland Park, IL or Veterinary Emergency Care Center in Highland, IN.

Here is Debbie and Nandor doing some loose leash walking! Learning to walk well on a leash is so important, no one wants to be pulled around! Nandor is going to be a very big boy, good manners on a leash is a must! You and your dog can learn these skills too! The next puppy class starts on October 9th!

Here is our trainer, Debbie, working on some basic obedience with Nandor. Nandor is only 15 weeks old but he has already learned so much from her! Leave it is such an important command to teach your dog, it can literally save their life! You and your dog can learn these skills too! The next puppy class starts on October 9th!

Ever seen a cat walk on a leash? Check out Rascal Mitts, he had a great time strolling around the clinic (with the occasional protest, LOL). He is too cute! Who knew our dog trainer did cats too??

Nikki came in today for her annual dental cleaning and we wanted to show everyone what that looks like! She is a great example, she has beautiful, healthy teeth and gums because she gets them cleaned every year. Tartar is bacteria and when it is allowed to sit and keep accumulating, it crawls into the gums and eventually the bone causing periodontal disease which is very painful and can even cause damage to the heart. The mouth is the gateway to the body, dental health is so important. Don't dismiss your dog's bad breath as normal stinky dog breath, that's the bacteria you are smelling. Ever had a toothache? It's miserable, that's why we always recommend dental exams and cleanings every year. Plus, isn't it satisfying watching that icky tartar come off??
