We woke up to a surprise this morning.... Marie surprised us with kittens 😱
My kiddos had let Marie out during her heat and I logged the day and watched her closely. She showed no signs of being pregnant and I thought the crisis was averted, Until about five days ago when I noticed she had a bit of a pooch and was acting off and was throwing up. I called the vet and scheduled an appointment I thought maybe she had eaten something like a piece of plastic and was sick. She wasn't getting big like a normal pregnancy of showing ni**le Redding or swelling signs. Then this morning we woke up to kittens.... I'm a little disappointed in myself. I only like her to have a litter a year and I strive really hard to keep them separated during her time or heat and honestly I could blame it on my kids that they had let her out but as a breeder I have to take full responsibility for what goes on with them and will do what I can to prevent it from happening again. I wish I would have known she was pregnant so I could have had her on her vitamins or been able to assist in labor. However I'm extremely thankful she wasn't sick with anything dangerous like I was thinking and I'm also super happy we have a happy healthy mama and happy healthy kittens regardless of how they got here ❤️
Pictures of mama and babies to come within a few days. I'm going to let the shock wear off first 🫣
Also most of you know I give all the kittens a "name" generally a theme for identification while they are with me. With this litter being a total surprise does anyone have any recommendations of a set of names that goes along with that theme? Id love to hear them 👇

Our last baby left us today 🥹❤️
So glad as our 2024 litter comes to an end every single one of our babies we're handed off to their new mamas and are going to be cared for by loving homes 🥰

Update: Babies have their vet check next Friday May 10th. As long as everything checks back well they can go to their mommies after we are finished at the vet or a time agreed upon in the following days! ❤️🥳
If we need to schedule a time please message me and we will get something set up.
I cant wait!! 😁
