The Blue Goose Snowflake Show delivered on the snowflakes today! ❄️ Cowboy is officially a dressage horse after competing in his first schooling show! He was concerned about the judge stand… but his newfound trusty little mule buddy helped him overcome his fears 😂 He pulled off some respectable scores in the low 60’s for his Training Level 1 & 2 debut. 💕

Flexi was her usual reliable self, earning scores in the mid 60’s for 1st Level 2 & 3. Just love her. 💗🦄

Welcome to the barn Reno and Christina! Reno is a young warmblood gelding. He moved to Brightwood a few weeks ago and is settling in very well. ☺️ Some of his favorite things are: hay, feeding time, and his new uncle Coal. 🦄

2024 Recap:

⭐️ You guys took over 200 lessons
⭐️ 17 dressage shows judged
⭐️ Brightwood Dressage joined Team County
⭐️ Jenna passed her “r” judge license program
⭐️ Jenna had the honor of judging at the NAPC Mounted Police show and participating in their annual ride through D.C.
⭐️ Eastyn & Sylvester were the Year End Intro Champions for Fredrick Area Dressage
⭐️ Catie & Demi competed in their first dressage show
⭐️ Sarah competed in her first dressage show
⭐️ Flexi made Brightwood her forever home and competed at her first rated show
⭐️ Cowboy made Michael a horse owner and is helping teach lessons
⭐️ We bought a utility shed for the farm
⭐️ We hosted 3 clinics at the farm
⭐️ Brightwood was on the cover of the December issue of Monkton Living Magazine

Do the thing. Buy the horse. Do the show. Buy the pictures. Make memories. ❤️
When I look at these pictures, I think about how a year ago, Flexi came to me as a sale horse. Countless inquiries and trials, and all I heard was she wasn’t “enough” of this or that. Wasn’t tall enough, didn’t have enough training, didn’t have a show record, wasn’t hot enough, wasn’t quiet enough (LOL) ...you get the picture. Well that’s just fine because it turned out that I needed her and she needed me. She showed me from the beginning that she had a heart of gold, a trainable mind, and the patience of a saint. I’m so glad that she wasn’t “enough” for some other buyer, because she’s priceless to me. 💛🦄PC
