COMING SOON!!! We've been keeping a big secret from you guys! MCAH has been working on adding CT to our diagnostic toolbelt! Words can't even begin to describe how excited we are to be able to offer full body CT scans right here in our hospital to our patients in the very near future! There is still some work to be done, but stay tuned for updates!

Tucker is pet of the week because he is one lucky guy! Tucker was enjoying himself a bone as a special treat from his mom when he got a little overzealous. Tucker swallow a big chunk of the bone and it got stuck in his throat! Lucky for Tucker, his mom was on stop of him and rushed him right in! With a little sedation, Dr. Hoover was able to grab the piece of bone and Tucker was good to go in a short while! Check out the comments to see the culprit after Dr. Hoover removed it! It's pretty impressive!

Phoebe is pet of the week because she is one amazing and unique girl! Phoebe came to us in October because she couldn't stop drinking and urinating. Phoebe was so thirsty that if she didn't have water constantly, she was cyring! After lots of tests to rule out any other cause, the only thing left was a rare condition called diabetes insipidus. Unlike the diabetes everyone knows, diabetes insipidus has nothing to do with insulin! Poor Phoebe was lacking a hormone that tells the body you aren't thirsty anymore, so she constantly thought she needed to drink drink drink! Lucky for Phoebe, her family didn't give up on her and worked with Phoebe while we figured out what was wrong with her. Finally, after a trial with the medication used to treat diabetes insipidus, Phoebe was getting back to normal! We're so glad Phoebe's family stuck with her and now she can live a normal, happy life!

It's a Fitness Friday! Bella is a girl who loves to eat (we can relate!) and needs to shed a few pounds. As part of her weight loss journey and to help her with some achy joints, Bella has started working out in the underwater treadmill. Fiona is another sweet baby who is enjoying her time in our rehabilitation department and kinesiology taping! Fiona has a degenerative disease of the nervous system that makes her a bit uncoordinated. The taping helps Fiona better recognize where her feet are and be more deliberate with her steps. Ollie has been killing it in the underwater treadmill! Ollie uses the treadmill to keep himself fit and healthy. On days like today, it's nice to be able to get him running without worrying about the heat!

Rally Classes
Rally Classes

We have Rally classes! Rally is a great way to deepen the bond you have with your pup. Rally involves a course you and your pet have to navigate together while performing commands throughout. Tosca and his mom have been working on Rally for a bit now and you can see how close they've become in the process!
