What a heartwarming story!!

When a dog’s life hung in the balance, a local shelter pup became a lifesaver. 🐶💛

On Wednesday, a veterinary clinic called Whitfield County Animal Shelter asking for a healthy dog to donate blood to save another dog in critical condition.

Dennis, a brave shelter dog, answered that call.

“It was a short procedure, and he handled it well,” Shelter Director Whitney Dunn said. “We were glad to help give the other dog a chance to survive.”

Dennis earned a Purple Paw Certificate of Bravery for his role.

He and his buddy Wilson were surrendered in 2022, and after months without adoption, the shelter made them mascots.

Today, they’re cherished by staff and visitors alike.

Because of Dennis, another dog now has a second chance at life. 🐾

Cute cat content!

The first two pics show groundbreaking moments. Xing is a very particular cat-doesn’t like anyone other than her human. She’s not aggressive-just has a personal bubble the size of Alaska and likes to show off her hissing talents. I can relate, to the personal bubble not the hissing😂

I see her maybe twice a year and at this last visit, she showed off her belly. Anytime any animal shows you their belly, they are showing that they trust you.

Made me so happy that she felt comfortable enough to relax around me 🥹🥰

The last picture is of me and Miss Rhea. I happen to really like how I look in the picture, which is rare for me. Normally my selfies are blurry or my hair is a mess 😂

This past weekend I attended my niece’s birthday party. She and her sister ride so the party was at their barn. They both compete in shows and are fantastic equestrians!
