Meet Stanley. This handsome fella will sweep you off your feet with his friendly, affectionate, and laid back personality. He was found as a stray and is thought to be 2 years old. He would love to meet you so stop by so you can see for yourself what a great catch he is!

Meet Tim. Tim is a male Terrier mix around a year old. He was brought to the Rescue by Animal Control. He is a very sweet little guy that needs lots of love. He is scared and a little nervous. He definitely wants to interact with people and likes to follow you around, but he will need someone that will be patient with him as he learns to be more social. He likes to hide under his bed because that seems to be his security. He would also need a fenced in yard if at all possible since he is a runner. He would do well with another dog that he can follow around and be friends with. A meet and greet would be required for other dogs in the home. He also seems to like cats. Daisy's adoption fee has been sponsored with an approved application by one of our awesome volunteers! Don't miss out on this sweet girl! She would do best in a home without cats and would require a meet and greet with other dogs in the home. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. Kumar is a one-year-old male Pit mix that recently had two weeks of professional training. He can sit, stay, heel, come, kennel up. He will need someone to continue to work with him and be a strong leader for him. Someone that is familiar with the breed would be a plus. He is doing very well on the leash and has come a long way. (video in comments). He can be really sweet and has a lot of love to give. Any other dogs in the home would need a meet and greet. Update:
Mookie has been placed in a foster home.

Meet Mookie, a sweet goofy 7-8 year old black lab. Unfortunately he was recently diagnosed with a fatal disease and is estimated to have no more than a year to live. Mookie was adopted once and returned due to not getting along with neighbor's dogs. He slept with their daughter and napped in the recliner and loved having his own family and home. Mookie doesn't deserve to live the rest of his short life in a kennel/shelter. We are trying to find him a hospice foster so his expensive food, vet bills and toys would be covered by WIAR. The foster would need to be close to Monmouth and be expected to take him to his vet visits. Stop by WIAR to meet him, fall in love ❤❤ and fill out an app to foster him. Mookie looks forward to living in your home and getting lots of attention that he so deserves for the rest of his life! He does not act like he's sick at all. Wiggles, barks and kisses! He doesn't like the other dogs at the shelter but OK with Cats. He is so sad at the shelter -- he wants out (with his toys)!

Gigi, the majestic princess, is our featured pet of the week because she has been here the longest of any of our current cats. She has spent over 10 months in the Rescue. She deserves to be in a home of her very own. She is so sweet and affectionate. She loves to curl up and take naps in a comfy hidden place and she gets along with other cats. She is estimated to be around 2 years old. She has been here long enough, let's get her a home! Contact us with any questions!

Meet Miss Nala! She is a petite, sweet calico that was found as a stray. We asked her how old she is, but she was offended that we would ask a lady that question. Since she won't tell, we assume that she is about 3 years old. She has a crooked tail, but she is pretty purr-fect otherwise.

Its naptime here at the Rescue😴, we still have several sleepy-eyed kittens that would love to have a home of their own and a lap to curl up in. They are 11-12 weeks old, all up to date on their vaccinations, neutered/spayed and microchipped. They are ready to find their furever homes.
