Great to see one of our newest teams making an impact in their community.

No, it’s not Groundhog Day…it just seems like it. Sorry if you’ve heard this story, but someone (wink wink drug dealer from out of town we are talking about you) did not.

Our great Detectives with the Special Investigations Group along with the assistance of Officer Thornborough and K9 Wojtek stopped another pound of m**hamphetamine from reaching the streets of Moline.

Just when we thought the warm weather today would get rid of the ice.

If it’s not apparent yet to you wannabe drug dealers, we are always watching, waiting and we will get you.

So find a new hobby or you’ll get to meet our SIG Detectives and our drug sniffing/finding K9s.

Wannabe drug dealer went to jail, K9 Wojtek chased a tennis ball and society wins.

This week, Officer Shipp and K9 Grizz played a crucial role in an investigation that originated from a traffic stop, where K9 Grizz detected the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. As the investigation progressed, a search warrant was executed at a local residence in Red Lodge, Montana, resulting in the seizure of a quarter pound of m**hamphetamine and a substantial amount of US currency. We are always proud of our handlers and their commitment to making their communities safer.

K9 Wojtek was eager to get to work and a couple m**h peddlers were apparently as excited to meet him.

You know what they say, "Dreams don't work unless you do", so they decided to try to transport m**hamphetamine into Moline.

Trying to transport 3 pounds of m**hamphetamine into our community is one those high risk-low reward things teachers taught most of us in grade school.

This story isn't all sad for them, these guys will get regale to all of their future cellmates about the time they were K9 Wojtek's first big bust. They can tell their orange clothed buddies about how they sealed their m**h into plastic bags but that Ziploc freshness seal was no match for the Cedar Creek Kennel trained nose of K9 Wojtek.

K9 Wojtek and K9 Riggs are working nonstop to stem the flow of drugs into our community.
