What a milestone day for our breeding program and Milo, today at Canine Capers dog Academy school.
Milo is only an 8 months old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from our breeding program. His parents are extraordinary, ( CGC sire OFA CHIC # and Therapy work dame OFA CHIC #) but Milo wants to do more in his life and passed his introductory test to enroll into a very exciting program, Paws for Hope, a service dog program exclusive to very special candidates that are going to make a difference in a veteran life.
Milo is an amazing puppy with an incredible amount of potential, selected among many other ones.
Tons of training ahead of us in partnership with Donna Rogers, one of the most influential dog trainers in North Carolina.
Stay tuned as we will venture into this amazing journey with Milo.

Update:

I hate to disappoint everyone but we are not able to have the FastCat event in November at Cabarrus Arena in Concord. We cannot have this event because there are two other events within the mileage radius of Concord.

Thank you so much to all the competitors for bringing your dogs out to trial with us! We have had a lot of positive feedback about our improved footing which we will continue to work on for our Nov trial. We also added Agility Gate to help things go as smoothly as possible which worked great. We can’t wait to see everyone again in the fall!

Concord NC Agility Trial in August 2023:
I have been asked what where we doing to revitalize our turf. We have spoke to some turf Manufacturer and was told they did not see our turf being worn out but it needed to be cleaned and there is a piece of equipment that brushes the turf to lift it and bring it back. So we have purchased a big machine to go over the turf and bring it back to life and clean it at the same time. We also have a professional to help us properly put the turf down as to fix any bubbles or seam issues. We also purchased a new dog walk, new tunnels and a new pause table. I hope to see everyone at our trial. Remember we have a fantastic facility. Plenty of cool air, great RV Hookups, and we are hoping you will come and compete with us.

I am Wayne Kerr President of Greater Monroe Kennel Club. We are looking to have the Turf professionally installed and revitalized for our August trial. We are aware of the footing concerns and there are many things we can do better to prevent issues and we are committed to improving our Trial. We will be replacing some of the equipment as well. Please have patience as we were hit hard like other clubs during COVID and we have to be careful with our funds. We hope everyone will continue to support our Club and these agility trials. Remember during the hot August weather we have climate control facility with great RV Camping Sites. There will be no conformation show during the trial so it will be all you guys. Please come and trial with us. Concord NC Agility Trial we would love to see you in August.
