TESTAMENT OF A DOG:
My material possessions are few and I leave them all to you. A nibbled collar, a messy bed, and a water container with a broken edge. I leave you half a rubber ball, a doll's cuff you'll find under the armchair, a lot of bones buried under my house. I leave you my hair all over the house. I leave you my memories. I leave you in memory of two huge and loving brown eyes, a wet snout, a restless tail, a stain on the carpet, next to the window and your shattered chair. I leave just for you, the sound I made when I ran out on the autumn leaves, when we shared walks. I leave you as an inheritance my devotion, my support when things were not right, my barks when you woke up with the voice of anger and my frustration because you were mad at me. And without speaking a word in all your life I leave you my example of love, I leave in peace knowing that your life has been happier. because I was right beside you. We will meet someday and we will still love each other.
