This precious child needs prayers. The vet that I chose to take him to stated his diagnosis could be possible woody tongue. This mainly happens in cows. Be aware that was the first vet visit.
He saw Half- Pint in end of July for excessive drooling and again at the end of September for pieces of grass coming out of his nostrils and obsessively drooling worse than the first time. Again, this doctor told us that it was again Woody tongue and that we might need to be thinking about putting him down in the next week. He barely tried to look in his mouth. He said he could get his mouth open wide enough. He didn’t even try using the device for horses to open his mouth and thoroughly look inside. He just gave some random shots & antibiotics and said let’s meet in a week.
I’m so sick of vets around here. All they do is rush you in and rush you out and don’t really look at your animals. They just want you to come back so you can spend more money on another test the next time you come !
He almost killed Half-Pint by not truly examining everything in this horses mouth. I’m so angry. This is the sweetest miniature horse and now we’re struggling to make sure Halfpint gets better.. we’re are feeding him wet feed morning and night. Then cleaning out his mouth so these abscess holes don’t get packed up again.
Dont go to ANY HORSE VET IN THIS TOWN OF MONROE NOR WEST MONROE! Save your animals from them.

*He has some ulcers that have blow out under his tongue and neck and we are trying to get them to heal with Lots of attention.
