Those who may kill deer with damaged velvet they want to replace we now have a process we can do that.
Last year we charged 700.00 for a standard whitetail mount which was a 50.00 increase from 2022-2023 season to help offset the cost of rising prices on about ever product we use. Not to mention the fact that the shipping on the products we use have increased drastically. Received notice last night that our tannery is going up to offset their material cost increase. Last years increase did not come close to covering the increase in expense. As of September 1st our standard whitetail price will be 800.00 and because of the increase in tanning we are going to ask for a 100.00 deposit on all mounts. Many say I can get it done for a lot cheaper by someone else and I understand that is true but we know what time and expense we have in OUR work and if you knew what it breaks down to for a hourly wage you would wonder why I stay in business and the answer is it's a passion. With this said I hope to see many of you this season and for those that choose to go else where there will be no hard feelings. We simply think our work speaks for it's self;

As most of you know I do not mount turkeys any more and haven't for a while. If any of you do have turkeys to mount please let me know. One of my whitetail students is mounting turkeys and doing an excellent job! He learned under a great turkey taxidermist Tim Jordan and is very reasonable on price. Just let me know if you need a bird mounted and I will put you in touch with him.

We will be starting a basic whitetail class in mid February. This will be the only basic class we will do in 2022. I have 1 opening if anyone is interested. If you have a deer still in the freezer would be great because you could use it for class! PM if interested. We are located in Monroe NC.

I have received a few inquiries about whether we are going to do anymore whitetail classes in the future. As of right now we are planning 1 more class in February. I can do no more than 3 students in my shop at one time. If you are interested you can pm me or call me at 704-294-0013.
Good morning! With the 2022-2023 season right around the corner though it was time to make a post about upcoming season. There has been some questions asked if we were going to continue to receive deer this season and the answer is yes we are continuing to take deer again this year. With that said we want to make you aware that we are going to have a price increase for this season. As all of you know we are in difficult times to say the least. Prices on ALL of our supplies have increased greatly. Shipping alone has almost doubled. In order for us to continue we must increase prices . Beginning September 1st basic shoulder mounts will be 700.00. Wall pedestal mounts will be 800.00. We know there are some that will say this is too much for them to pay in the times we are in and I understand. I have researched other taxidermist in the area that I believe do comparable work with ours and find we are very much in line with them. Thank you and I hope you all have a great and safe season!
For those of you that may not have been advised yet you will not be able to carry any deer to South Carolina processors or taxidermist unless the deer are quartered with no spinal cord or neck. This means you can take backstraps, shoulders and hind quarters to the processor in cooler. If you take your deer from NC to SC for processing check with your provider to see if they will take cooler deer. I have spoken with Evans processing and he will be taking NC deer that are properly quartered. Also check with your taxidermist if located in SC about taking your deer there from NC. They will make arrangements to get your deer caped out (removed from the skull) and skull plate cleaned so they can take it back to SC. We will still be taking your SC deer if you will make arrangements with us to get your deer properly caped in SC so it can be brought to NC. Regardless what we think this is the law. No I don't like it but have had to deal with it for several years with clients that hunt out of state. The reason for this new law in SC is because of a positive case of CWD found in NC which now makes it a CWD positive state. For those that have contacted me about deer they are waiting to bring, give me a call and we will get your deer taken in and caped out and off to the tannery. Still a little slow and arm is in brace for 4 more weeks but I was able to cape out a deer and 1 at a time I can get it done. Have a great day!
Last mount for a few weeks. Had surgery yesterday to reattach tricep muscle to elbow (no fun!) If you have deer to bring please let me know a day ahead if frozen. I have the caping covered with very reliable people. If you have a fresh kill that needs immediate attention please call before delivering so we can get it covered. Love early season short haired deer! Got surprised with this monster this week from a new customer. Deer killed in Mecklenburg County the 2nd day of bow season. Look forward to mounting this brute.
