Our awesome team of doctors, some of our fantastic LVTs, and hardworking assistants who volunteered their Saturday to spay and neuter a few of the rescue cats at Friends Of Companion Animals Feline Rescue & Adoption Center.

A big shoutout to the Suburban Animal Clinic of Monroe team! 🙌 Recently, Dr. Bieszki, Dr. Tubbs, LVTs Holly Przybylek, Courtney McClung, Natalie Stokes, and assistant Sam Devaney volunteered to spay and neuter 17 kittens for Friends of Companion Animals. Friends of Companion Animals Feline Rescue & Adoption Center is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been preventing unwanted litters from growing up on the streets or entering overcrowded animal shelters in Monroe County since 2011.Together, they’re spreading kindness and making a difference in their community! ❤️

Very cool surgery performed at an Encore hospital in the Florida Keys! ☀️

🌟 Dr. Millington of Island Hammock Pet Hospital to the rescue!! 🩺 After a Snowy Egret swallowed a fishhook, with the help of the crew at Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Millington was able to surgically remove the hook, repair the laceration and place a temporary esophageal feeding tube - something that has rarely been performed in wild birds. The egret is now eating well and on the path to recovery! Amazing dedication and teamwork with Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center!

Today we are celebrating Sam! Sam has been with us since June! Sam is new to our clinic this summer! She is being trained to work as a veterinary assistant while she goes to college. Sam will be going to go to vet school once she is finished with her undergrad degree. During her time with us Sam has learned many new skills and has became a wonderful addition to our team. We look forward to seeing her on her breaks from school and watching her success in college and vet school! Please say “Hi” if you see Sam around the clinic to welcome her to the Suburban family. We strive to be as transparent as possible. Veterinary medicine is going through a shortage and it's affecting clinics across the nation. With that being said, we found out we are the only emergency clinic open tonight for the Toledo area. We brought in extra staff to help, but expect a wait. We will do our best to handle the increase in clients in a timely manner. Please be kind to our staff as we all are working together tonight to provide the best service to your pets.

Today we are celebrating Dr. Kayla Tubbs! It is her One Year work Anniversary working for us! She came to work with us after finishing vet school last year to gain experience under Dr. Bieszki. As of April 2024 she officially passed her national veterinary board exam and became a fully licensed DVM! We are so proud of her and her accomplishments in the last year! She has compassion not only with the pets but with the clients as well. Dr. Tubbs treats each pet as her own making sure they are cared for.
Some interesting facts about Dr. Tubbs She was born and raised in Monroe. For college and Vet schools she went to Lincoln Memorial University in TN for her masters degree and vet school. In her free time she enjoys taking her 2 dogs, Lucy and Aliyah, for hikes and road trips. She also has fun teaching yoga, practicing Pilates and reading romance and fantasy series.

Today we would like to wish Kendra a Happy 4 year Work Anniversary! You may not see Kendra doing day to day activities around the clinic but she is the “bones” working hard in the background. She makes sure the day to day functions of the clinic are met, staffing is appropriate, the business aspect is taken care of, and most important that our clients expectations are met. We are so thankful to have her around. Please help us wish her a Happy 4 year Work Anniversary!

As the month of June closes we would like to extend a warm heart felt appreciation to Dr. Bieszki. Dr. Bieszki has been within the Suburban practices of Monroe and Toledo for 11 years! That is 11 years of dedication and compassion sent to each and everyone of her many patients and clients. With each patient doctor Bieszki sees, she takes with her a memory of each pet and that shows through her compassion in good times and bad. Dr. Bieszki also makes sure her clinic team from CSR, assistants, and LVTs know their worth and appreciation within the clinic.
