We have a few openings left for boarding! Red Dragon Farm in Monroe, WA.

All disciplines are welcome, and different boarding options are available. All options are full care and include feeding twice daily, cleaning, turning out as needed, and multiple checks. Hay is included and we will feed owner-provided supplements and grain, or you can use the add-on option to feed barn-provided grain.

We offer pasture board in large grass fields with shelters, perfect for the semi- or fully-retired and young horses. Group turnout/living is also allowed.
Other options include well-draining runs with sheds - great for rehabbing horses - with the option for turnout as available. There are also a limited number of well-bedded stalls with turnout options.

Amenities include: Sand arena with good footing and lights; Large grass arena with jumps; Large treed meadow for hacking, obstacle, or cross country training; Paths around the pastures allowing for hacking. And construction of a bridle path around the property is underway. There are large grooming bays and a wash rack, as well as plenty of storage.

Easy access for trailers, and trailer storage parking is also available. Located just outside of downtown Monroe, it's an easy drive to the Monroe Fairgrounds, Lord Hill Equestrian Park, and Mann Road trails.

No need to be part of a training program but instruction is available if desired from a former upper-level eventer. Opportunities to bring your own trainer as well.
We also allow haul-ins and schooling in our arenas- a great opportunity to ride and train on different terrain.

The property is cross fenced and well monitored with surveillance. Owner is on-site, and our friendly and knowledgeable staff create a pleasant family environment for you and your horse. We strive to create a natural and community setting for all our equine residents.

In barn full care lease only

Wonderful opportunity to lease an experienced intermediate lever Eventer who is coming back into work.
Due to life circumstances Ops has had an easy past couple of years but would really enjoy having a full time job again.
He would make a wonderful partner to someone who wants to advance their riding skills with an experienced horse but doesn't have the budget. Ops has an amazing jump and will really instill confidence in his rider while also having fun.

Lease also includes a weekly lesson.

Talented thoroughbred gelding with dressage and jumping experience, has been schooled cross country. Has had the past couple years in lighter work due to my life changes and a new baby. Not currently in work but would just need a quick refresher.

Thrives in a program with consistency, loves to work! Can go into any discipline, with lovely movement for the dressage ring and the athleticism for the jumpers. Riptide is a forward ride but sensible when he’s in regular work and likes a confident rider with a balanced seat.

Still Looking to fill a few barn positions $18/hour:

1. Weekend barn worker:
4-5 hours 7am start. Responsible for feeding morning hay and grain, turn out and mucking stalls/filling waters inside and outside/prepping hay/feeding mid day hay. Tidying up barn and making it presentable for the evening. Responsibilities might change as weather changes.

2. Evening worker Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday:
3ish hours, 4pm -7pm Responsible for Feeding afternoon Hay, turning in, picking paddocks, prepping for am and feeding lates and grain. Tidying up before shutting down barn and making it presentable for the morning. Responsibilities might change as weather changes.

Looking for experienced people only. Must have prior barn work/horse care experience. Must have reliable transportation and be reliable/responsible themselves. Must be able to adapt to changes in scheduling and able to take advice/critiquing so that the barn stays clean and runs smoothly. Must be able to conduct themselves in a professional manor as we are a public lesson barn. Must have experience handling horses of all types and be able to display good horsemanship. Must be able to lift heavier items: grain bags/water buckets/hay bales. Quiet family oriented place with an emphasis on professionalism, cleanliness and good horsemanship

Looking for Saturday and Sunday morning coverage at a working riding facility in Monroe. Duties include feeding, turn out, picking stalls and paddocks, cleaning waters and prepping hay. $18/hour, 6-7 hours each day starting at 6am.

Must have reliable transportation and be committed. Looking for a responsible, self starter and hard worker. Ability to lift up to 50lbs is required. Possibility for extra shifts during the week-as available, for the right individual.

MUST have experience working with horses and in a barn setting.

Duties would include adding bedding to stalls, wetting down stalls prior to bringing in, blowing out aisle way, prepping grain, prepping hay for the morning, checking outdoor waters, turning in, feeding, blanketing as needed, final pick out and barn shut down. Time involved around 3 hours ideally 4:30-7:30. Days 6+ (can be everyday if candidate wants). Opportunity for extra hours and shifts as season ramps up. Ideal candidate would be a hard worker, attention to detail and have experience with horses. Looking for immediate start.

Looking for a worker to do upkeep and maintenance on a working equestrian facility. Hours/days may vary. At least 10+ hours a week guaranteed- more depending on time of year and tasks involved.
Tasks would involve mowing fields, brush clearing, manure maintenance, tidying debris, setting/fixing electrical fences and other various jobs. MUST be familiar with and know how to operate heavy equipment (tractor and implements) and mechanical knowledge is a plus. Must be familiar with other farm maintenance equipment. Must be active and able to lift 50+ pounds. Hard worker and a self starter is desired. Job will mainly be in morning as the facility operates lessons in the evening. Familiarity with equestrian properties is a bonus.
