The River Cities Humane Society For Cats is a humane organization established to help the many homeless cats and kittens in the Twin Cities area. The society was formed in the spring of 1989 and is approved by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is registered with the state of Louisiana as a non-profit corporation organized for charitable and educational purposes.

Thisbe has been at our shelter for almost 3 years and we would love to see him in a home of his own. We know that his personality and quirks can be a lot to handle, but we are positive that the purr-fect adopter is out there. He loves to play with laser pointers, teaser wands, and small furry mice. We are very proud to announce that One Eyed Joe will be spending Christmas in his forever home! He was a stray that was found by the public and brought to the shelter on December 8, 2022. The Vet removed his left eye due to an injury / infection in his eye. After some recovery time and healing he was made available for adoption. He was adopted on December 17, 2024!
