Rescue is hard but days like today keep us going! Addie girl who has spent the last 5 1/2 years with us has been officially adopted!! Addie has always been beyond loved and a happy girl with us but it brings tears of joy to know this sweet girl now gets to live the life of the couch potatoe she was always meant to be surrounded by a family that adores her!!!

In the last 24 hours we have had several heartbreaking moments! Meet Marisa, Manger, and Marisol! Marisa and Marisol were abandoned at a rental home by their owners. Marisa is the very sweet and very emaciated yellow lab pictured. Her friend Marisol the darker colored lab needs special monitoring due to an enlarged stomach. Poor girl may have eaten something she shouldn't have while trying not to starve to death. Sweet Manger well as you can see he has significant skin issues due to untreated demodex mange (not contagious to people or other dogs) which lead to bacterial and fungal infections.

The amazing crew at McClendon Veterinary Clinic jumped right in to help us save these sweet dogs. A huge thank you to all the staff at McClendon Veterinary Clinic for helping all 3 babies and to Kim Goldman for swooping in to scoop up Marisa and Marisol and bring them to safety!!

If you would like to help these sweet babies donations can be called into directly to McClendon Veterinary Clinic at 318-812-1825 onto the Humane Society Adoption Cwnter Account or donations can be dropped directly to the shelter. These babies need a lot of TLC!

We will post updates on all three as they move along their healing journey!

Next Tuesday, we are hosting our first Dogs in the Drive Thru event at both Chick-fil-A Thomas Road and West Monroe Drive Thru Only.

From 3pm-8pm, bring your pups through our drive thru for a special whipped cream treat!

🐾The first 100 pups that come through will receive a Chick-fil-A Bandana!🐾

We can't wait to see all of your dogs on Tuesday! 🐶

Hobo said Moma Terri that big Ole treat you gave me sure was good.. can I have another one?!?!

This sweet boy is all innocent eyes and has the best begging face there is! He is a happy go lucky 10-12 week old shepherd/hound mix that is a giant dough ball just waiting to melt into your lap for a nap after some play time!
