Mr Wonderful
OK Acres Maestro is the sweetest, chillest ram I've ever owned and that's a high compliment from me because I have zero tolerance for bad behavior from rams.
I've used him on quote a few of my ewes, so now I need to find new gulmoget bloodlines. Maestro is on the smaller side, but we'll bodied, nice chest and rear, lovely shaela fleece. Smooth polled and tiny ears make him a great choice for anyone trying to get those if airplane ears under control.

OK Acres Marco Polo, warm black krunet 4 year old ram, proven sire, throws excellent offspring. Extremely quiet and laid back, polled, his wool that is very fine and crimpy. I have several excellent lambs on the ground from him this year.Halter trained.

Mike showing OK Acres Nemesis in the Senior ram class this year at the MASS show in Jefferson, WI. Brian Ridland was our judge this year, he was born on Shetland and has been farming on Orkney for several years. The senior raIm class this year was one of the largest I've seen in quite some time at Jefferson and the competition was outstanding, I'm not a bit disappointed with 2nd place.
I really like most everything about this ram, he's built well, has lovely wool that is dense and breed typical, has a nice head, small ears with a good Shetland tail. I'll be using him on several gals this fall.

For your consideration, 2024 wool clip, all sheep were covered, micron tested, neck and britch skirted off, you only get what was under the cover. All staple lengths are measured after the rise is removed and then again after stretching.

It's been a ride.

A special thank you to Kelly Bartels. She has announced her retirement from show chair with this years show. Kelly has kept the ship sailing since our last chair retirement. She’s increased numbers and things to do! It’s not an easy task, and involves a lot of work. Please send out your thanks and well wishes. She will still be a force and will help in a smaller capacity.

We have a group of co chairs gearing up for next year! Planning has already started! We will be sending out messages to hopefully spread the workload out so it’s not so much of a burden.
If you’d like to volunteer to be on the co chair show chair committee please reach out to Mia Spaid, Aaron Gray or Garrett Ramsay. More info to follow.

We are so pleased to share our good fortune at the 2024 MASS fleece show. Thank you to Lisa Mallows Williams for putting our fleeces forward as Best Rooed Fleece, Reserve Champion Fleece and another as Judges Choice. Congratulations to Amy Rappuhn for her much deserved win with a gorgeous grey Fleece as the 2024 Champion Fleece!!

OKAcres Maestro, proven 2 year old, FFSSA PG1 fleece, respectful and on the smaller side, but his lambs this year are outstanding.
OK Acres Nemesis, fawn proven 2 year old, FFSSA G1 fleece, carries spots. Beefy boy with lots going for him...modified, spot carrier, lovely fleece, great head, ears, tail, legs. PM with questions.

2024 Final count: 44 sheep sheared or rooed, finished my last one today.
Got some shade tarps up in preparation for more scorching weather this week.
Now I need to wash & mendall the sheep covers before hay feeding rolls around this fall. Some of the girls like to shred their covers, so it can be a challenge to fix them at times.
