I love it when the fur baby clients love their new makeover😊 Gracie got on the bench by herself and looked almost like she was posing so I had to take her picture.
Sugar was smiling at me all the way back to her home- so when we got in her driveway I took her picture.

This is Posey and she is a special girl who needs a special home. Posey came to us by way of an overcrowded shelter in North Georgia. She is eight months old and she weighs eight pounds with a bit more growing to do. She is a Yorkie/Maltese mix and she was purchased from a breeder when she was a tiny pup. The family who bought her knew something was wrong with her from the start. She walks funny and she never seemed to be able to control her bowels or bladder. After owning her for eight months they decided they could no longer deal with her potty issues so they gave her up.

We have had extensive testing done on Posey and we now know that the root of her problems is a spinal cord defect. She was probably born this way, or possibly suffered an injury shortly after birth. This causes her to have an irregular gait and to be fully incontinent with her bowels and bladder. This condition is permanent and Posey will require diapers for the rest of her life. She will never be housetrained because she has no feeling in the muscles that control elimination. While Posey has a funny gait, she is fully mobile and can in fact both walk and run. She is a funny, feisty girl who has no sadness about her condition. Posey loves people and she gets along fine with other dogs. She will be a wonderful companion for someone who will love and treasure her “as is.” Please consider the ongoing expense of pet diapers before you apply to adopt Posey. They can easily be purchased at any pet store or online. Also to be noted is that she may be predisposed to urinary tract infections. Posey must be kept clean, meaning she cannot be left home alone without diaper changes for long periods of time. Her ideal home would have a stay at home parent. This little one can’t help that she is slightly imperfect. We are hoping that someone out there will find her to be absolutely perfect and want to offer her a loving, forever home. Who couldn’t love this face? Minnie is a six-year-old Terrier mix who weighs 15 pounds. She was rescued from a local shelter where she was going to be euthanized because she had heartworms. Minnie has been in a wonderful foster home for the last three months and she has now completed the heartworm treatment process. She is happy, healthy and ready for her new home.

Minnie is shy with new people but once she is comfortable, she’s your friend for life. She does need a bit of time to get acclimated to new people. Your patience will be rewarded with a lifetime of loyalty and love. Minnie is currently in a home with both large and small dogs and while she does fine with them for the most part, we feel that her perfect home would be one where she is the only dog. She would love to go on walks with her human and snuggle next to them on the sofa. Minnie is a devoted companion and she will endear herself to her new people in no time at all.
