Bunny Love Begins...
I fell in love with this little guy named Kush and his sister Kali. I don’t even know what breed they are, presumably mixed up with an angora, and they are still growing. They were babies when I got them from Amy at Why Not an American Ark, and it was over. I was smitten. I love them both but my daughter proclaimed Kali to be hers, and Kush and I have a very special connection. I kept them inside for several weeks in carriers in my tub, letting them out every night for “zoomie time,” where I kicked the dog out of the bedroom and let them have the run of the whole room while I lay in the floor. Their hops, jumps and leaps while kicking sideways like short, fuzzy wild stallions made my love grow every day. They are joyous, affectionate little creatures, with whom I, admittedly, became wrapped around their little, um....paws.
I began to wonder if they really loved me, or if I just happened to be in the room while they played and I was the one who cared for them and fed them. But when I lay on the floor, they jump and play on my back and nibble on my hair.
We really had no intention to breed them (they are brother and sister) or find them mates with whom to breed. They aren’t pedigreed...or even full blooded. I just love them. We did, however, find Snowball, a stunning and very sweet double-maned Lionhead, whom we bred with Willow, who is single-maned.
