Lope On In

Lope On In Friends, Fun, Community Service and Horses brought a group of women together to form Lope On In. How do we accomplish this?

Our mission is to maintain quality horse shows with a fun relaxed atmosphere and help those in need within our community through donations. We have a great volunteer staff and an educated group of trainers and exhibitors that support our shows. Combine that with the young women who work on our sponsor team and the great sponsors that support us annually and we are able to offer some of the best prizes, buckle classes and Series awards in the state.

Today we take time to thank Allissa Beckman-Spaeth for sponsoring a buckle in memory of Dan Spaeth.
We love you Allissa

What an amazing weekend! Each and everyone of you were AMAZING ! Thank you to each and everyone of you♥️

Lengthy post….. sorry…. NOT SORRY! This needs to be said!
90 days ago Lisa Gardner and I were alerted that there was an open date in May. At that time Lisa volunteered to pull together a benefit show. We both feel the Tacoma Unit is an important & vital part to the equestrian industry. We all want & need the Unit to continue serving the needs of the horse community! What happens with “the situation” is in the hands of the State and the rest of us need to look towards the future and doing what we can to make the Unit a continuing & stable (no pun intended) part of the horse industry. What happens to the Unit is in the hands of the shows & supporters! Positive, ongoing support is what will pull the Unit out of this turmoil.
So 90 short days later… Volunteers, Judges, Staff, Awards, Association Approvals, Silent Auction, Donations and Sponsorships and most importantly, AMAZING EXHIBITORS made this show happen! The rough income estimate (because there are a few more sponsorships to collect) is this show brought in over $32k on a weekend where there was no income planned. I hope you understand the enormity of this accomplishment that would not of happened without ALL OF YOU! And you cannot begin to imagine how helpful this is for the Unit to climb out of their situation!
Personally, I am humbled, appreciative and so proud of how the horse community has stepped up.
Donations and sponsorships came in from Washington, Oregon, Montana and even Texas! Exhibitors came from all over Washington and Oregon!
Lisa tirelessly reached out to people so we could provide a great atmosphere, offer great awards and a fun filled weekend! We worked diligently, tweaked (numerous times) & came up with a great class list. Then coordinated it with the Associations, Judges & volunteers.
There were so many volunteers that I am going to let Lisa & Bianca (who literally pulled out favors & even begged some of the volunteers to work) give a special shout out to them because I don’t have all of their names!
A huge shout out to those exhibitors who’s name we may not know but volunteered in between showing in their classes. To “that guy”, I think it his name was Matthew Olma, who stepped in and announced when the volunteer announcer didn’t show up on Saturday….. YOU ROCK! Next time you can do a little karaoke if you want!
A Big THANK YOU to the following people who always show up and worked all weekend! Lisa and I couldn’t of done it without you!
Debbie Nelson Chapin (facility)
Wulli Butler (show manager)
Jeff Floyd (tractor) AKA Dad Joke King!
Bianca Crawford (office)
Shawna Painter Painter (gate).
You were there from the beginning till the bitter end!
LASTLY! To everyone that stripped their stall THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! This is the 1st weekend since January that the Unit didn't have to call on members; with families, disabled, working full time, and just burned out, to come and clean stalls so the facility is ready for the next show! The appreciation is IMMEASURABLE!
Going forward, there are a lot of great shows coming up for you to attend that will be held at the Unit! The schooling show series starting in October & 2 ranch horse shows are already in the works. I hope you continue to support the Unit; the Units’ shows & all shows hosted by other clubs. If you ever have a free Sunday evening and feel the need for a workout I am sure you can fulfill that goal with cleaning a few stalls! If you are handy with your hands I am sure that the Unit would appreciate your help since there is no longer a maintenance crew employed... for now!
I personally want to thank each and every one of you for your support.❤️💚💙 *Karen
