Today, our fearless leader took her first steps back into the arena - not to lead, but to heal. Years ago, she stepped out on faith and built this place to help our community. Today, she stepped out faith and trusted us, as well as Freedom, to begin her journey of resilience and recovery. Freedom has some mighty big hooves to fill but she made our hearts swell with pride today!

It is with great sadness that we come to you this evening and share that our beloved Biker passed away this weekend. We took some time to share this news personally with our participants and families who interacted with him most, but we know that he was loved by so many more than just those who saw him each week.

Biker was a HUGE part of our program. Not just because of his stature, but because of his heart and how well he loved so many of us and the way he took such gentle care of those who needed him. This is a loss that will be felt deeply and for a very long time.

We ask that you pray for us as we continue to move forward and serve our community. Pray for our own grief, as well as for the participants who will begin lessons again next week. His absence will be something that we will be working through together in the coming weeks/months. Sometimes life doesn't seem fair, and we don't understand why things happen. This is definitely one of those times, but we do know that we were blessed to have Biker in our lives and he taught many of us life lessons that will live on as we go forward.

Biker, we appreciate all you gave to Bright Star Ranch and you will be forever missed, my friend! 💔

Today, we ask that you join us in wishing Robyn a Happy Birthday!!🥳 We have been beyond blessed to have her as such a pivotal part of the ranch for the last year and a half! She brings a heart for service, an encouraging spirit, listening ear and a zest for life that's a lot of fun! We are thankful for who you are and that you are such a big part of who we are!

A Dream Come True....

As a young girl, I always wanted a ranch....I never knew until four years ago that a dream such as this could also involve helping children and adults to have a hope for their future with the use of therapeutic equine activities and services. I have watched in the past few years children overcome fears, apprehensions, and disabilities to live more confidently and find happiness with the help of a four-legged animal who loved them unconditionally. I’ve seen veterans find strength again and the will to live by riding and realizing that they still can participate in something that once was considered an inability for them to do. People of all ages are affected by just the presence of an animal who I know in my heart was made to help us all. But most of all, I know the One who gave me this dream and who helped me to reach my goals in becoming certified as a riding instructor. It is only through Him that I’ve been given this opportunity to serve Him in a way I never dreamed possible as that young little girl. The Scripture I have leaned on so much through these past four years has been, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, Philippians 4:13.” I believe with all my heart that for each individual and family that comes to Bright Star Ranch, He is saying to them that He will be with them through this journey as well and give them and their children the strength they need to have a more abundant life. Never stop dreaming.....and never stop thanking all the ones around us who helped make this possible, too!
