Hermione Update!
Hermione’s little family of 10 is healthy and happy. They are 2 weeks old today! Their eyes and ears are beginning to open and they are beginning to learn their voices.
Hermione has progressed in her house training and potty training, along with her leash training! Her nervousness being on a leash is almost gone. She has become more comfortable with being walked and she is showing her true personality. We take short walks because she doesn’t like to be away from her puppies for very long. When she gets really excited, she’ll wag her tail so hard that she has a wiggle. She is still very much a lovey and quiet girly. She loves affection so much that she just melts in your arms the second you start giving her affection and attention. She is so out going and such a good mama to her pups.

We were able to do our first big transport of the year on January 6th! We had our van loaded up with 33 cats and kittens...

We were able to do our first big transport of the year on January 6th!

We had our van loaded up with 33 cats and kittens, along with 10 dogs and had them heading North to Orphans of the Storm!

Thank you Orphans for helping us move some of our precious babies out! Some of the dogs that were sent were some that had been with us quite a while, and we are thrilled they will be able to receive their second chance at life!

Another big thank you to Mr. Frank and Trinity Brewer for driving and braving the harsh Northern weather conditions to make sure everybody arrived there safely and on time!

We cannot continue to do what we do without our wonderful rescue partners and volunteers!

2025 has started off beautifully, so fingers crossed it continues to be an excellent year.

We would like to send a huge thank you out to Mikes Auto & Diesel, and to their employees!

Before Christmas, Mike came to the shelter and donated several bags of puppy and cat food to us which came at a great time. Our puppies were definitely thankful for the bags of food, as we were getting pretty low.

They also took excellent care of our van for us after it had broken down before Christmas. With many transports coming up this month, it was imperative that we had both of our vans in working order. They were quick and efficient in repairing it, and we’d like to give a very special thank you to Mr. Randy Green for giving up several of his vacation days in order to have our van fixed before our big transport came up!

We will always recommend Mike and his employees to anyone who asks us. They are always friendly and reliable!

We’d also like to thank our Humane Society for covering the cost of our repairs. You guys always pull through for us!

We are seeking a rescue organization that can accommodate Momma Ursa and her two 6-week-old puppies. Please tag a rescue that may have available space. Momma (2 years old) is dog-friendly and people-friendly. The puppies are extremely adorable, calm, and well-behaved.

Momma Sadie Louise (10+ years) is coming off her 7 day hold tomorrow. She is emotionally shut down. She needs a foster or rescue away from the shelter setting to raise her babies. Is there any foster homes or rescues open for a medium mom with 3 week old puppies?
