MBAS has been blessed with another amazing Eagle Scout project 😻😻

Bryleah, who is also a shelter volunteer, collaborated with shelter staff to provide shade/rain covers for a portion of our dog play yard. Without a cover, the yard was previously unusable during rain and most of the day in hotter summer months, so these covers will maximize our dogs' play time!

Her project also included the construction of dog agility equipment for the yard, which the dogs will love during play/training time!

A huge thank you to Bryleah and everyone involved in making this project a reality 👏👏👏

🐱 Kitten season has begun, and we need bottle feeding fosters! 🍼

These little cuties need some one-on-one care for 2-3 weeks until they are ready to eat on their own.

The details:
-Experienced or first time bottle feeders welcome to apply (we will provide full training for new feeders)
-Feeding every 2-3 hours around the clock is NOT required. That's right, you can sleep overnight and have a life during the day 😂
-We provide all supplies needed

Favorites: Toys, playing outside
Energy level: High
Training: Knows command “sit,” appears potty trained
Other important info about me: I’m one-of-a-kind, both in looks and personality! I would do best in a home where I can get regular exercise and lots of attention, because I definitely love to be the center of it! I do well with people of all ages but have shown mixed reactions towards other dogs, so I should be tested with any current dogs in the household prior to adoption. I haven’t been tested with cats at this time.

Sputnik (adopted from MBAS in 2023) enjoyed the snow day yesterday! ❄️

How did your pets fare? Did they run for cover under a pile of blankets? Maybe you have a husky or similar that you had to practically beg to come inside 😅 We'd love to hear!

Porch was found as a stray at Barbers Hill Animal Hospital in poor condition, with an injured leg. The kind staff at BHAH treated his injuries and as his condition improved, his personality began to shine! Porch was quickly both a BHAH and MBAS staff favorite. After almost 2 months of care he has found his forever home, where we know he will get the love and attention he deserves!

We will miss you, buddy 💚
