Sometimes it seems there is only bad news in the world, but often that is when you have the chance to make the most difference. Over the last two days we received requests for help for four different animals- and we need your help to fund their care.
Buster is a 6 year old bulldog who was abandoned at the Bronx Zoo in the middle of the freezing weather several nights ago. He has a wounded eye, severe skin infection, and is notably under-weight. He’s also a sweet, gentle boy.
Mati is an 8 week old kitten who needs immediate surgery for an abdominal hernia so large that his internal organs are falling through it. He hasn’t stopped purring since he arrived.
Charlotte is a 2 year old dog who has already had 3 litters. She was given up because she was not caring for her puppies. She is dangerously obese and may have a uterine infection. She is shy but incredibly gentle and just wants to be loved.
Our 4th potential case is a house cat who was abandoned outside to fend for himself in the freezing cold. He is scared, hungry, and possibly wounded. We are awaiting his arrival tomorrow.
We wish we could save the world, and although we can’t do that, hopefully we can make a difference in our little corner. But we can’t do it without your assistance. We help the most vulnerable rescue animals who often have multiple medical/physical issues. Please make a donation at the link in our bio to help us continue this critical work. We really can’t do it without you.

When you are safe and happy, and can finally rest…
Thank you to the client who stopped her entire day and spent hours with this girl to make sure she was safe. Now named Venus, she is warm and cozy inside, and will have her babies out of the snow and elements.

On a rainy night, nine years ago, a man came to the door of Cameron Animal Hospital with a tiny wet kitten in his hands. His local shelter had told him to “put it back in the gutter, where he found it”. Dr. Cameron refused to give up on him, and named him Lone Survivor. And against all odds, he survived.
When he met Lauren and Joe, and became Mac, he joined Little and Mika in teaching the world about special needs pets, and the joy and love that adopted animals can bring to your life. But most importantly, he found his family and the unconditional love that he deserved.
Last night, on another rainy evening, we lost Mac.
He had an outsized impact on the world for such a little guy. He changed millions of lives by demonstrating the importance of love, no matter what.
thank you for loving him forever.
In Mac’s honor, Gecko (a blind kitten) and CatKitty (a boy with only 3 legs) with be coming to from for care and to find equally special homes of their own. We will never forget the lessons that Mac taught us, and will never give up.
