🦋 Today Marks 16 Years Since Lindsey Jo Baum Was Kidnapped 🦋

On this day—June 26, 2009—10-year-old Lindsey Jo Baum vanished while walking home from a friend’s house in McCleary. Nearly a decade later, in September 2017, her partial remains were discovered in Kittitas County. Her disappearance shattered a community, and her murder has left a lasting wound.

Today, we remember Lindsey and continue to seek justice.

The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to finding the person or persons responsible for her kidnapping and murder.

If you know something—no matter how small—please come forward.

Please help us bring answers to Lindsey’s family. She deserves justice. Her memory deserves peace.

Heeeey MONTESANO, and surrounding east county area!

We have been in cahoots with Chief Wilson, and we are bringing a FREE community microchip event right to your town. That's right. This is your opportunity to get your dog microchipped at no cost to you (donation are appreciated though to help continue providing this service. Donations can be made in cash at event, or via venmo). Let's make sure all dogs in Monte and the surrounding areas are able to find their way home if they get lost.

AND, during our planning of this event, Timber Tails K9 Rescue threw down the gauntlet and challenged Chief Wilson. We will see if he accepts the challenge. We are holding up our end of the deal by showing up for the community.

This is going to occur on June 7th, and will be from 10-1. It will be located in the parking lot behind city hall.

If you are bringing more than one pet, you must register each one individually. So please submit a form for each microchip you are needing done.

If you are having difficulties with registration, please reach out to us, or to the police department. If you need assistance due to technical challenges, please visit the police department and they will help you register. Everyone must have an email address. If you don't have one, please ask a family member for an email address that can be used for registration of the micro-chip.

We are excited to provide this, and look forward to seeing you and your pet(s) at the event.

To qualify for civil immunity, the person must do the following:
1.)Determine whether the vehicle is locked or there is no reasonable method for the vulnerable person or pet to exit the car without help
2.)Have good faith and a reasonable belief that, based on known circumstances, entry into the car is necessary because the vulnerable person or pet is in danger of imminent harm
3.)Ensure that law enforcement is notified or 911 has been contacted, before entering the vehicle
4.)Use no more force than necessary to enter the vehicle and remove the person or pet
5.)Remain with the vulnerable person or pet in a safe location reasonably close to the car until law enforcement, animal control or first responders arrive

People who break into cars to save babies or pets will be protected from civil lawsuits, provided they take certain steps first.
