Freedom Tails is a WA State Department of Corrections program located at Stafford Creek Correctional Facility. This program is designed to house dogs for up to 12 weeks where they receive one-on-one training with an incarcerated individual.

These 6 dogs are the first-ever Timber Tails K9 Rescue pups heading to prison! You read that right.

Cyrus, Benny, Gretchen, Brody, Saint, and Nutmeg are officially launching our partnership with the Freedom Tails Program—a program that changes lives on both ends of the leash.

📅 Incarceration Date: January 8th
⏳ Sentence: 12 weeks

Over the three months they are in prison, these dogs will receive consistent training, structure, confidence-building, and lots of love—while providing purpose, responsibility, and hope to the incarcerated handlers working with them.
