Animal Hospital of Montgomery has been helping to keep pets healthy since 2004. Dr. Joey Romero started AHM in a small 1,500 sq ft office in a strip center. In October 2008, the office was moved to a new state of the art, free standing 8,100 sq ft facility about 500 yards west of the original location on Hwy 105. At Animal Hospital of Montgomery, our goal is to provide the highest quality veterina

Dr. Joey Romero

Graduated from Ross University in January 2003, completed a year of clinics at Louisiana State University from January 2002 to January 2003. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1999, with an Animal Science Degree. Dr. Romero is married to Mandy and they have one son, Breck. Dr. Romero enjoys the outdoors and his special veterinary interests are in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.

It’s Check The Chip Day! Make sure your pets are chipped and you have updated any addresses and phone numbers. Microchips are only successful if they are registered and the information is accurate.

On , we're sharing a few important reminders on the importance of microchips - such as:

➡ 1 in 3 family pets will get lost
➡ Microchipped dogs are more than twice as likely to be returned to their owners and microchipped cats are more than 20 times as likely to be returned to their owners

And remember - while microchips greatly increase the chances that pets will be reunited with their families if they are lost or stolen…a microchip only works if its registration information is accurate.

Sweet Salem really wants to clean her own wounds herself so we found the cutest way to cover them up! I think she is loving her polka dot jammies!
Sometimes we have to get creative when the cone of shame doesn’t work for everything. Just a tip for you guys, baby onsies work well for post surgery and they typically have sizes right on the tag. Usually a 10lb animal fits a 10lb baby size. Just make sure you cut a hole for the tail and remove for potty breaks.

As the kids head back to school make sure your 4 legged kids are checked out too! We do have special rewards on Wednesdays but can get those annual exam and vaccines done any day of the week. You can request an appointment on our app right from your phone.

We want to feature our girl Trudy! This girl was surrendered to us several months ago and we have all grown to love her so much. We will miss her but know she deserves a family of her own. She wasn’t used to other kitties when she came to us so she is looking for a home where she can be queen of the castle. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Please come by and meet our Trudy girl.
