Blitz spent over a year in boarding before he was short term fostered and subsequently adopted. That time in boarding took a significant and negative toll on his mind, behavior, and body.
While Blitz was lucky and found his forever🏡 (see update below!), we still have several dogs who have spent months to years in boarding 😔.

Update on the journey of pure Blitz 🐶🩷
We’ve had Blitzen for alittle over 80 days. In those 80+ days he has made some improvements and accomplishments!!
He has improved with his “circling”, if you’ve ever fostered or adopted a long term kennel dog then you know what I’m talking about. His anxiety has also improved. He still paces but he has learned to lay down every now and then and chill.
He has been going potty on the puppy pads we have down for our three Chiweenie’s. I haven’t figured out if it’s just a coincidence or if he is doing it on purpose but he has peed and pooped on them so let’s hope this is intentional!!
When we got him, he had little muscle tone in his hind legs. He had a hard time going up and down stairs or steps, and could not jump up on the couch. Well, just this week that has changed!! he doesn’t do it often, but he has jumped up on the couch several times. I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal to you, but it is to us and we are so proud of him!!
He is also doing well with his AirTag. When I first put it on him, I would always play the sound when we were walking to the door to come inside. So now when I play the sound…wherever he is, he starts heading to the house. Even though he is our special-needs dog, he is fully capable of learning!!
