When Eva arrived at the care of Paws Humane, their rescue team quickly found Eva had an old fracture in her elbow and was unable to use her affected leg. To relieve her pain she required amputation. The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation was able to provide a medical grant for Eva’s medical care and we are so happy to see she’s healed up well and continues to be her happy and loving self. 💛

‼️ATTENTION PET PARENTS‼️

Reservations are highly encouraged for day care this summer. We will not be offering day care on July 4th and holiday hours, 7AM-10AM and 4PM-7PM, will apply.

To best serve you, we strongly encourage all day care pups to have a reservation prior to coming to Camp. As we head into summer, more boarders are staying with us as their paw-rents travel. There are capacity limits in place to ensure the safety of all dogs in our care.

Once we’ve met our daily max capacity, we will have to turn away any dog without a confirmed reservation. Thank you for understanding.

In search of a loving home for MOOSE!

Moose has been a Camper at CBW for years and is the sweetest girl. She’s a four-year-old, 30 lb Braque du Bourbonnais.

Despite being a Pointer, she doesn’t hunt. She prefers to catch tennis balls outside, run in circles, and then come inside and lay on top of you for a nap.

Moose is an inside dog who doesn’t care to be outside unless you are with her to throw a ball or watch her lay in the sun. She sleeps in her kennel at night with no problem.

Moose is comfortable around her young, human siblings, enjoying the treats they give her. However, since their arrival, sharing the attention has been challenging for Moose. She’s developed separation anxiety and only tolerates being by herself for about 4 hours at a time.

There *is* some truth to the belief that dogs are a good judge of character. Research has shown through their keen sense of smell and skilled read on human body language and cues, dogs will sometimes use that information to form an opinion of a person. A dog's sense of smell is 1000 times stronger than humans. These heightened senses allow dogs to smell the pheromones that evoke the human mood which also helps dogs pick up good and bad behaviors of a human.

Join us Saturday from 10AM-2PM at Montgomery Whitewater for the Dog Days of Summer Benefitting the Montgomery Humane Society. Meet some of the precious pups in need of fur-ever homes. 🐾

On Monday, the Montgomery Humane Society had nearly 400 pets in need of homes. Three days later, that number has risen by nearly 40.
